Abstract: An air compressor comprises a cylinder, a suction valve body operatively combined with the cylinder, wherein the suction valve body is in a form of a band plate having a shape of V-letter with a round bottom, both ends of the suction valve body being arranged outside a projection space of the cylinder and a portion of the suction valve body other than the both ends being arranged inside the projection space of the cylinder, and wherein the air compressor comprises a suction valve plate receptor which can overlap the suction valve body when the suction valve body is in suction stroke and which has a rigidity enough to restrict an amount of lift of the suction valve body.

Abstract: A scroll type fluid apparatus, such as a scroll vacuum pump or a scroll compressor, does not require lubrication by an external lubricating device. The scroll type fluid apparatus includes a casing, a stationary scroll member fixed to the casing, an orbiting scroll member cooperating with the stationary scroll member to form sealed chambers therebetween, and a restraining mechanism for restraining the orbiting scroll member from rotating about its own axis. The restraining mechanism employs prelubricated sealed bearings which support its component parts so that the component parts are in rolling contact with the corresponding portions of the orbiting scroll member, so that the component parts and the corresponding portions of the orbiting scroll member are not radially abraded, and portions of the scroll type fluid apparatus exposed to the fluid need not be lubricated by an external lubricating device.

Abstract: An elephant nose type arm for a programme controlled manipulator, comprises gears meshing with each other, connecting members for connecting the gears to each other and actuator for rotating the one of the gears to bend said arm.

Abstract: A volumetric type rotary machine has a pair of rotors each of which has a plurality of teeth comprising tooth crests and valleys alternately disposed at equal angular intervals around the rotor in profile in a cross-sectional plane thereof perpendicular to the rotational axis thereof, which rotors are adapted to rotate in mutually opposite directions in mutually intermeshed state. In each rotor as viewed in the profile in the cross-sectional plane, the tooth crests and valleys respectively have convex and concave arcuate parts over specific peripheral extents thereof centered on the vertices and nadirs thereof, respectively, and remainder parts of involute curve shape between the extremities of the arcuate parts.

Abstract: There is disclosed a method for molding a plate-like cross-structure on a heat pipe or a bundle of heat pipes to serve as a support plate or a baffle. The plate-like cross-structure is formed integrally on the heat pipe within a molding box, in an extremely simplified manner irrespective of the shape of the pipe.
