  • Publication number: 20190375153
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an at least partially coated object, comprising the step of producing the object from a construction material by means of an additive manufacturing method, the construction material comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane material. Following the production of the object, the method comprises the step of at least partially bringing a preparation into contact with the object, the preparation being selected from: an aqueous polyurethane dispersion; an aqueous dispersion of a polymer comprising OH groups, this dispersion also containing a compound comprising NCO groups; an aqueous preparation of a compound containing NCO groups, but not containing any polymers comprising OH groups; or a combination of at least two thereof. The invention also relates to an at least partially coated object that was obtained by a method according to the invention.

  • Publication number: 20190223618
Abstract: It is a feature of a porous body (10, 20) comprising a three-dimensional network of node points (200) joined to one another by struts (100), and a void volume (300) present between the struts (100), that the struts (100) have an average length of ?200 to ?50 mm, the struts (100) have an average thickness of ?100 ?m to ?5 mm, and that the porous body has a compression hardness (40% compression, DIN EN ISO 3386-1: 2010-09) in at least one spatial direction of ?10 to ?100 kPa. The porous body according to the invention combines the advantages of a conventional mattress or cushion with ventilatability which results from its porous structure and is not achievable in conventional foams. The invention further relates to a method of producing such a porous body (10, 20) and to an apparatus comprising said body (10, 20) for supporting and/or bearing a person.

  • Publication number: 20190118519
Abstract: The invention relates to elastomer sandwich systems containing at least two components, wherein one component is (i) a thermoplastic polyurethane functioning as a cover layer and, adhering thereto over its area, the second component is (ii) a noncellular cast polyurethane having a density of from 800 to 1800 kg/m3 functioning as a carrier layer, wherein at least one component of the elastomer sandwich system has a tear propagation resistance in accordance with ISO 34-1 of from 30 kN/m to 85 kN/m and an abrasion loss in accordance with ISO 4649 of from 50 mm3 to 5 mm3 and in addition at least the two components have a rebound resilience in accordance with DIN 53512 of 35%-70%, and a process for the production thereof. The invention further relates to metal composite elements containing elastomer sandwich systems, a process for the production thereof and the use thereof as lining elements in the transport sector and mining and mine sector, in particular in hoppers and conveyor belts.
