  • Patent number: 7816456
Abstract: The present invention relates to a semicrystalline propylene polymer composition prepared by polymerizing propylene, ethylene and/or C4-C18-1-alkenes, where at least 50 mol % of the monomer units present stem from the polymerization of propylene and at least 20% by weight of the propylene polymer composition is the result of a polymerization using metallocene catalysts, with a melting point TM of from 65 to 170° C., where the semicrystalline propylene polymer composition can be broken down into from 65 to 85% by weight of a principal component A, from 10 to 35% by weight of an ancillary component B and from 0 to 25% by weight of an ancillary component C.
    Type: Grant

    Assignee: Basell Polyolefine GmbH
Inventors: Jürgen Suhm, Volker Rauschenberger, Dieter Lilge, Roland Hingmann, Florian Stricker
  • Patent number: 7569651
Abstract: A process for the polymerization of olefins, in particular a process for the copolymerization of propylene with further olefins, is carried out in the presence of highly active catalyst systems comprising specifically selected metallocenes, in particular ones which bear different substituents in position 2 and position 4 on an indenyl ligand. Novel polypropylene copolymers can be obtained by this process.

  • Patent number: 6649892
Abstract: In a microwave oven system comprising at least one magnetron of a given operating frequency and a mains unit for the at least one magnetron, the at least one magnetron of a given operating frequency is replaceable by a magnetron of another operating frequency. The magnetrons of the different operating frequencies have at least approximately the same mechanical dimensions so that they can be easily replaced quickly. The mains unit can be used for the different magnetrons in unchanged form or in a form involving minor modifications, without any change in the electrical parameters or with a slight change therein, thereby affording interchangeability of the various magnetrons.

  • Patent number: 6593442
Abstract: A semicrystalline propylene polymer composition with good suitability for producing biaxially oriented films and prepared by polymerizing propylene, ethylene and/or C4-C18-1-alkenes, where at least 50 mol % of the monomer units present arise from the polymerization of propylene. Also described is the use of the semicrystalline propylene polymer composition for producing films, fibers or moldings, the films, fibers and moldings made from these compositions, biaxially stretched films made from the semicrystalline propylene polymer compositions, and also a method for characterizing the semicrystalline propylene polymer compositions.
