  • Patent number: 5612583
Abstract: An electric motor (1) has a stator (3) and a rotor (5) having a rotor shaft (7), which rotor shaft is supported relative to the stator by means of ball-bearings (9). The ball-bearings are connected directly to suspension elements (11 ) for the suspension of the electric motor (1) relative to an external device. Resilient elements (13) are arranged between the suspension elements (11) and the stator (3) to suppress vibrations in the suspension elements (11). When the electric motor (1) is used in an apparatus less vibrations are transmitted to the frame of the apparatus, so that the apparatus itself also produces less vibrations and less noise.

  • Patent number: 5251375
Abstract: A shaving apparatus comprises a housing provided with a first shaving member having a first cutting edge and with a second shaving member having a second cutting edge, which second shaving member is drivable relative to the first shaving member, the movement of the second cutting edge relative to the first cutting edge in a plane transverse to the cutting edges being composed of the movements in two main directions in this plane. The second shaving member is provided with a carrier mounted in the housing so as to be movable in both main directions and the carrier comprises two surfaces which extend transversely of the main directions and which engage against a rotatably drivable cam disc.

  • Patent number: 4769582
Abstract: A pulse-drive circuit for an electric motor in which the steep edges in the drive-signal are made to vary substantially stepwise, i.e. around a first time instant the signal changes from a first level to a second level and around a second instant the signal changes to a third level. This makes it possible to reduce a mechanical resonance vibration having a period of twice the time interval between the two instants.
