  • Patent number: 4415447
Abstract: Separatory, e.g., ultrafiltration apparatus including a plurality of semi-permeable membranes and a plurality of ridge ribbed support members therefor, is provided with means for anchoring said membranes to and between successive supports.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 14, 1981
Date of Patent: November 15, 1983
    Assignee: Rhone-Poulenc Industries
    Inventors: Jacques Foucras, Georges Rodet
  • Patent number: 4346004
Abstract: A device is provided for the leaktight securing of semi-permeable membranes to opposite faces and around each orifice of a membrane support plate of a separatory apparatus which separates by selective permeability. Said device comprises two stamped metal rings which maintain sealing pressure on the membranes against the support plate and are attached to one another in a leaktight fashion by means of a sealing means situated between them. A separatory apparatus comprising support plates fitted with the above device is also provided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 11, 1980
Date of Patent: August 24, 1982
    Assignee: Rhone-Poulenc Industries
    Inventors: Jacques Foucras, Georges Rodet
  • Patent number: 4165082
Abstract: A support plate has fluid-flow openings therethrough which openings are flared at their ends. Securing rings extend into the openings from opposite ends and have tapered lips firmly pressing the edges of membranes against the flared end surfaces of openings. The rings are fixed to each other to exert constant pressure on the membrane edges.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 30, 1978
Date of Patent: August 21, 1979
    Assignee: Rhone-Poulenc Industries
    Inventors: Jacques Foucras, Georges Rodet
  • Patent number: 4038519
Abstract: A flexible heating tube especially for medical use, e.g. for taking blood away from and returning it to the body, in which a flexible pipe of transparent plastics material is provided with at least one electrical helical resistance heating conductor and at least one helical filiform temperature measuring resistance probe. The two elements are wound on the same axis and are embedded in the wall of the pipe and are in surrounding relation to the bore in the pipe. The helical turns of the at least one electrical resistance conductor and of the at least one temperature measuring probe are of the same pitch and are coextensive along the length of the pipe. Electrical connection terminals at at least one end of said pipe are connected to said at least one heating conductor and said at least one temperature measuring probe.
