  • Patent number: 9145821
Abstract: An engine having a multi flow rate control valve may include a valve, a valve housing and a driving unit. The valve may have a hollow pipe structure and coolant holes through which a coolant supplied to a space at a center portion of the valve is to be distributed and cooled outside of the valve. The valve housing may be coupled with the valve such that an inner side of the valve housing is capable of being in close contact with an outer side of the valve, and have coolant outlets formed at positions corresponding to the coolant holes. The driving unit may rotate the valve to selectively connect the respective coolant holes to the corresponding coolant outlets or close the coolant holes by bringing them in close contact with the inner side of the valve housing.

  • Publication number: 20090197347
Abstract: Disclosed are an immunoassay of Plasmodium falciparum for determining the presence/absence of a specific and/or antibody thereof via label in conjugates bound to the specific antigen and/or antibody present in a sample, comprising immobilizing the specific antigen and antibody of Plasmodium falciparum on a solid phase, adding a sample obtained from a subject of interest to the solid phase so as to induce specific antibody-antigen reaction, adding a conjugate of the antigen and a label and a conjugate of the antibody and a label, separately prepared, so as to induce binding of at least one of the conjugates; and an assay device comprising the above-mentioned solid phase and conjugates. The present invention can effect specific detection of antigens and/or antibodies in patients with manifested malaria-symptoms as well as malaria carriers and can also be efficiently employed in samples at the early stage of malaria infection that is difficult to detect via conventional arts.

  • Publication number: 20040132117
Abstract: The present invention relates to an immunoassay and diagnostic reagent for malaria by using antigens of malarial Protozoa. More preferably, the present invention relates to an immunoassay and diagnostic reagent for malaria which detect malaria-specific antibodies in blood by using Merozoite Surface Protein of Plasmodium vivax. The immunoassay and diagnostic reagent detecting malaria-specific antibodies in blood according to the present invention have high specificity and sensitivity and are useful in diagnosing a type of malaria where latent period is long and number of Protozoa in blood if few. Also, the present invention relates to a preparation method of the surface protein of malarial Protozoa using yeast or E. Coli. Preferably, the present invention provides an expression vector comprising genes of Merozoite Surface Protein of Plasmodium Vivax and histidine residues, as well as transformants transformed with the expression vector.
