  • Publication number: 20140184121
Abstract: A motor torque control apparatus and method are provided for reducing jolting and noise caused by an acceleration or tip-in operation in an electric or fuel cell vehicle and for improving response to acceleration by the acceleration or tip-in operation. The motor torque control apparatus includes a limiter operative to limit a slew rate of a final torque signal applied to a motor of the vehicle based on a maximum slew rate selected from one of two previously-input slew rate variable maps. Specifically, L-mode and D-mode control units select the slew rate according to slew rate variable maps of an L mode and of D mode, respectively. A switch unit connects one of the L-mode and D-mode control units to the limiter based on a current operation state of the vehicle. The control units select the slew rate based on the torque signal output by the limiter.

  • Publication number: 20140066641
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an acid catalyst composition for producing 5-chloromethyl-2-furfural from galactan derived from seaweed and a method for producing 5-chloromethyl-2-furfural from galactan derived from seaweed on a two component phase using the acid catalyst, the acid catalyst composition for producing 5-chloromethyl-2-furfural from galactan derived from seaweed including organic solvent and dilute hydrochloric acid, a concentration of the dilute hydrochloric acid being 4N to 8N (normal). According to the present disclosure, there is an advantage of converting 5-chloromethyl-2-furfural from galactan derived from seaweed by means of a single process by mixing dilute hydrochloric acid and organic solvent by an optimal ratio, unlike conventional methods for producing 5-chloromethyl-2-furfural that had to go through a multi-phase process of preconditioning and saccharification.

  • Patent number: 8519717
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for detecting ice blocking of a fuel cell stack. In particular, the method includes periodically calculating a minimum cell voltage of a fuel cell stack from cell voltages measured by a cell voltage monitoring system while reactant gases are supplied to the fuel cell stack and then calculating a change in the minimum cell voltage using a currently calculated minimum cell voltage and a previous minimum cell voltage. It is then determined whether the change in the minimum cell voltage is above a predetermined reference value. When the change in the minimum cell voltage is above the reference value, it is determined that the ice blocking has occurred or is occurring in an anode of the fuel cell stack.

  • Publication number: 20120150384
Abstract: The present invention provides a technique for controlling creep torque to prevent a vehicle from rolling backward on an upward slope. In particular, a gradient of a road is calculated in real time from a detection value of a sensor and vehicle acceleration. A maximum creep torque for preventing roll-back caused by gravity according to the gradient is calculated using the gradient and vehicle information. A first creep torque reference is calculated based on the maximum creep torque and the vehicle speed. A second creep torque reference is calculated based on the maximum creep torque and the vehicle acceleration. A torque command value according to an operation state of a brake is calculated based on the first creep torque reference value and the second creep torque reference value and the gradient. In response, a torque output of a driving motor is controlled according to the calculated torque command value.

  • Publication number: 20120053355
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of preparing a petroleum-alternative bio fuel material such as 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furfural (HMF), 5-alkoxymethyl-2-furfural, levulinic acid alkil ester, etc. through a single process without saccharification, using a catalyst conversion reaction, from galactan that can be massively supplied at low costs and extracted from macroalgae of marine reusable resources. Thus, the macroalgae of the marine biomass resources is used so that a carbon source can be more easily extracted than that of a lignocellulosic biomass resource without a problem of having an effect on grain price like a crop-based biomass.
