  • Publication number: 20200391947
Abstract: A delivery chute for use on a concrete mixer truck has automated systems to allow for repositioning and reconfiguration without requiring an operator to manipulate components. The chute is configured to have multiple segments that can be folded/nested with one another for transport and can be positioned in an extended configuration thereby forming a continuous delivery surface for purposes of delivering concrete to a desired location. Powered mechanisms are used to reposition these segments, thus eliminating the need for operators to handle chute segments at all. A control system is provided to coordinate operation of components so proper sequences are followed during folding, unfolding, raising, lowering and swinging operations. An operator can control each of these operations using a remote control, having single buttons to carry out specific operations.

  • Publication number: 20200059528
Abstract: Client-side Quality-of-Service (QoS) for viewing of Adaptive Bitrate (ABR) streams may be provided. First, a plurality of Adaptive Bitrate (ABR) objects corresponding to a first video rendition of a content program may be downloaded from a Content Delivery Network (CDN) in non-real-time. The plurality of ABR objects may comprise a portion of ABR objects comprising the content program. Next, the plurality of ABR objects downloaded in non-real-time may be stored in a cache. At least a portion of the content program may then be retrieved in real-time using ABR streaming. Retrieving the at least a portion of the content program may comprise obtaining a first ABR object corresponding to the content program and a second ABR object corresponding to the content program.

  • Publication number: 20190328923
Abstract: An odor neutralizer, for placement on upward facing indoor air intake louvers of a “mini-split” or other ductless air conditioner, comprises a cylindrical container housing an evaporable odor neutralizing gel, and having rows of holes in the container covered by flexible strips that can be removed to expose the evaporable gel to air flowing into the intake louvers. The ends of the cylindrical container are closed by end caps shaped to raise the cylindrical container so that it does not block the louvers and so that it does not roll on the louvered surface of the air conditioner.

  • Patent number: 10166860
Abstract: A vehicle includes a hood assembly that covers an engine compartment. A multi-stage detachable hood air scoop assembly is connected to the hood assembly. The multi-stage detachable hood air scoop assembly includes an intake component connected directly to the hood assembly. A cover component is releasably connected to the intake component and directly to the hood assembly using releasable connections such that the cover component detaches from the intake component and the hood assembly in response to a predetermined front impact force.

  • Patent number: 10066359
Abstract: A coupler device for coupling an attachment to a mechanical arm of a machine or vehicle, comprising a main hitch body (2), an actuator (3) mounted to the main hitch body (2) and moveable relative to the main hitch body (2) and a front locking mechanism. The front locking mechanism comprises a first locking member (4) adapted to be pivoted by operation of the actuator (3) from an open position to a closed position to engage with a first pin or other means of an attachment to secure the attachment to the mechanical arm and a second locking member (6) provided on the main hitch body which is adapted to mount the actuator to the main hitch body when the first locking member is in its closed position such that the main hitch body prevents the first locking member (4) from pivoting into its open position.

  • Publication number: 20180222451
Abstract: An onboard washing system provides the ability to wash specific areas at the rear of a concrete truck, without requiring an operator to climb a ladder or climb on the truck. Certain specified areas which are traditionally difficult to wash, including the inside of the charge hopper, the interior portions of the discharge chute, and rear portions of the mixing drum structure, can now be washed in an automated and efficient manner. The truck-mounted washing system has components which are specifically positioned to cause washing fluid (water) to be sprayed or directed toward predetermined areas in an efficient and effective manner. The system also includes hand-held washing wands or washing mechanisms, which allow an operator to easily reach additional zones or additional areas at the rear of the truck, which are lower. Most significantly, the truck-mounted wash systems and the hand-held nozzle systems (wand) are all operable while an operator remains on the ground.

  • Publication number: 20170184320
Abstract: In a system for cleaning, and for maintaining a desired temperature in, the air within the interior of a building, an activated carbon filter is disposed in a filter housing forming part of a conduit connected from a supply duct to a return duct. Air flows through the activated carbon filter as a result of the difference between the pressures of the air in the respective ducts, and substantially the entire quantity of air within the building is passed through the carbon filter in a short time.

  • Patent number: 9636733
Abstract: Apparatus and method for forming a plurality of elongate members into a helical bundle. The apparatus has a plurality of bending die heads that are mounted in a circular array within a rigid housing. The bending die heads each have a pair of grooved rollers that engage the sides of the tubes to apply a bending force while allowing the tubes to move longitudinally through the bending die stock. The bending die heads can be rotated about their longitudinal axes to impart a helical twist to the tubes as they pass through the bending die stock. The apparatus also has a collet stock assembly, which consists of a collet that has a plurality of apertures equal to the number of tubes in the bundle to be formed. The collet stock is mounted to a housing that is secured to a carriage. The carriage is driven by motor and lead screw to move linearly along a track toward and away from the bending die stock while the collet is rotated at a predetermined speed to form a helical bundle.
