  • Publication number: 20180374055
Abstract: Systems and methods herein provide for improved email efficiency. Based on selections made while drafting an email, a user requesting a response can cause a calendar reminder to be generated and sent to a recipient for automatic entry on that recipient's electronic calendar. When the original sender indicates that an appropriate response has been received, the system can cause the calendar entry to be removed from the recipient's calendar. The system can also generate automatic reminder emails to prompt the recipient to respond to the sender. The sender can access a list of outstanding email responses that are still due from various recipients and modify the associated reminders as desired.

  • Publication number: 20180368893
Abstract: Surgical instruments and methods for delivering bone anchor assemblies into bone are disclosed herein. Use of these anchors or instruments can eliminate one or more of the steps in a conventional bone anchor installation procedure, improving surgical efficiency and safety. In general, a surgical instrument can include a handle assembly having an elongate shaft extending distally therefrom. The handle assembly can be configured to axially translate a carrier assembly that secures a stylet extending therethrough. Translation of the stylet can be made relative to a distal end of the elongate shaft. The surgical instruments can include various carrier assemblies for positioning the distal end of the stylet relative to the distal end of the elongate shaft based on a length of bone anchor to be installed by the surgical instrument.

  • Publication number: 20180219813
Abstract: Systems and methods herein provide for improved handling of oversized email attachments. An example system can identify an oversized email attachment before an email is sent, by comparing the size of the attachment to a maximum file size at an email server. The user can then be notified that the attachment is over the allowable file size before sending the email. The system can also un-attach the oversized file, compress it using a suitable compression method, and reattach a compressed file. The compression can be done at the sender's request or automatically.

  • Patent number: 9632834
Abstract: One embodiment sets forth a method for assigning priorities to kernels launched by a software application and executed within a stream of work on a parallel processing subsystem. First, the software application assigns a desired priority to a stream using a call included in the API. The API receives this call and passes it to a driver. The driver maps the desired priority to an appropriate device priority associated with the parallel processing subsystem. Subsequently, if the software application launches a particular kernel within the stream, then the driver assigns the device priority associated with the stream to the kernel before adding the kernel to the stream for execution on the parallel processing subsystem. Advantageously, by assigning priorities to streams and, subsequently, strategically launching kernels within the prioritized streams, an application developer may fine-tune the software application to increase the overall processing efficiency of the software application.
