Abstract: Systems and methods are provided and include a computer terminal located at a flooring store that receives a measured color of a flooring product. A server receives paint product catalog information from a computer system located at a coating manufacturer facility, determines paint colors that coordinate with the flooring product based on the paint product catalog information, and runs a paint product ordering application that interacts with a web browser of the computer terminal. The computer terminal receives a paint product ordering web page from the server that enables a user to create an order for a paint product based on a selected paint color and transmits the order to the server. The server receives the order and communicates the order to the computer system at the coating manufacturer facility. The computer system receives the order for order fulfillment, including creating, packing, and shipping the paint product to the user.

Abstract: A content server can function as the master record keeper even if a file or folder that it manages in an enterprise computing environment is shared externally, for instance, through a cloud system. To mitigate network security risks, the content server polls, from behind a firewall, an event service of the cloud system. The event service, in response, can communicate events indicating changes to the shared content to the content server. The content server can interpret the events and determine whether to take any appropriate action, for example, updating an audit log to include an event and/or updating the managed content to reflect the changes. Likewise, the content server can communicate any change to the managed content to the cloud system through the event service. In this way, the managed content in the enterprise computing environment and the shared content in the cloud system are bidirectionally synced.

Abstract: Linker-drug compounds and antibody-drug conjugates that bind to human oncology targets are disclosed. The linker-drug compounds and antibody-drug conjugates comprise a splicing modulator drug moiety. The disclosure further relates to methods and compositions for use in the treatment of neoplastic disorders by administering the antibody-drug conjugates provided herein. In an embodiment, the splicing modulator comprises a pladienolide or a pladienolide derivative.

Abstract: A display system for display of an item includes a display case into which the item may be placed, a digital video display system, and a lighting system which may be interactive with the video display system to provide an animated, photo-realistic and dynamic background for items being showcased and/or photographed. In certain embodiments, the display case includes a back wall incorporating an output video screen configured to display custom video content of the user's choosing via the digital video display system, the custom videos providing a backdrop for the item being displayed, wherein the lighting system is configured to change color and/or intensity in sync with the color of the changing images produced on the video output screen.

Abstract: A slide carrier includes: a base support; and a slide platform having a surface that is parallel to a first plane defined by a first vector and a second vector, wherein a vector extending in a direction opposite to the direction of gravity is normal with respect to a second plane defined by a third vector and a fourth vector, an angle between the first vector and the third vector is greater than zero degrees and less than 90 degrees, and an angle between the second vector and the fourth vector is greater than zero degrees and less than 90 degrees.

Abstract: A method of determining any offset between: a scale axis of a disc scale member having a planar surface on which is provided a series of scale features defining a scale that extends and is centred around the scale axis, the scale axis extending normal to the planar surface; and the axis of rotation of a machine part on which the disc scale member is mounted, wherein the axis of rotation and the scale axis of the disc scale member are substantially parallel. The method includes: determining any offset between the scale axis and the axis of rotation via inspection of an axially-extending surface provided with the disc scale member.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides novel pladienolide compounds, pharmaceutical compositions containing such compounds, and methods for using the compounds as therapeutic agents. These compounds may be useful in the treatment of cancers, particularly cancers in which agents that target the spliceosome and mutations therein are known to be useful. Also provided herein are methods of treating cancers by administering at least one compound disclosed herein and at least one additional therapy.

Abstract: An expansion loop for a piping system. The expansion loop has a first flexible conduit with a first end and a second end and a second flexible conduit with a first end and a second end. A first rigid conduit is connected between the first ends of the first and second flexible conduits. Additional rigid conduits are connected to both of the second ends of the flexible conduits. These additional rigid conduits include a stainless-steel elbow, a conversion conduit, and a copper conduit. The expansion loop may be installed wherein the flexible conduits are bent, when fluid flows, the flexible conduits straighten out and are not bent.

Abstract: A method of mounting a rotary scale member on a part, the rotary scale member including a body on which a series of position features defining a scale is provided, and at least one mounting flexure configured to engage the part, the method including: force-fitting the rotary scale member and the part together, whereby the at least one flexure is displaced by the part and thereby urged via a radial reaction force into engagement with the part so as to form a friction fit with the part such that the body of the rotary scale member self-locates at an initial default radial location with respect to the part; and tweaking the radial location of the body relative to the part away from its initial default radial location to a new radial location.

This addresses problems of undesirable sound effects resulting from applying same changes to processor settings to input sounds of all levels, frequencies, and classes.

When a user wishes to open, create, or edit a document in an online application hosted by the online application server, the interface server is called, instead of the IM server which manages the document at the backend of an enterprise computing network. The interface server is configured for obtaining a working copy of the document from the IM server and providing the working copy to the client. The client provides the working copy to the online application for display on the user device. When the work is done, the working copy is sync'd back through the interface server to the IM server as a new draft and deleted by the interface server.

Abstract: A backup recovery and testing method is disclosed. The recovery method restores backed-up systems according to a stored configuration, and collects logs as the restored systems start up. The collected logs are compared with stored baseline logs, by a process which includes parsing the logs into templates and parameters, and identifying anomalies automatically for example by principal component analysis. Anomalies identified may be used to modify the stored configuration.

Abstract: The present embodiments relate to adaptive throttling with tenant-based concurrent rate limits. A first exemplary embodiment provides a method for adaptive throttling with tenant-based concurrent rate limits. The method can include a computing device receiving a request directed to a first tenant of a multi-tenant cloud infrastructure system. The first tenant being granted access to a limited processing capacity to process a limited number of requests. The computing device can further determine whether the multi-tenant cloud infrastructure system is in stress. The computing device can further permit the first tenant access to the additional processing capacity to process a number of requests greater than the limited number of requests.

Abstract: A hearing device adapted for use by a wearer comprises an audio streaming circuit configured to receive electromagnetic audio streaming via a first communication link. A configuration circuit is configured to receive configuration parameters via a second communication link different from the first communication link for configuring the hearing device to receive the electromagnetic audio streaming. Control circuitry of the hearing device configures the hearing device to enable reception of the electromagnetic audio streaming in accordance with the received configuration parameters.
