  • Patent number: 10931139
Abstract: A distributed low voltage power system can include a power distribution module (PDM) that distributes a low voltage signal through at least one output channel. The system can also include at least one electrical device coupled to the at least one output channel of the PDM, where the at least one electrical device operates using the low voltage signal. The system can further include an emergency battery pack (EBP) coupled to the at least one output channel of the PDM and to the at least one electrical device, where the EBP comprises at least one battery cell. The EBP can use the low voltage signal to charge the at least one battery cell, and where the EBP releases emergency low voltage signal to the at least one electrical device when the PDM stops distributing the low voltage signal.

  • Publication number: 20200099248
Abstract: A hybrid distributed low voltage power system can include a primary power source that distributes a first low voltage (LV) energy during a first mode of operation to a plurality of first LV devices of a LV device system and fails to distribute the first LV energy to the plurality of first LV devices during a second mode of operation. The system can also include a secondary power source that distributes a second LV energy to at least one second LV device of the LV device system during the first mode of operation and during the second mode of operation. The plurality of first LV devices are not critical during the second mode of operation. The at least one second LV device is critical during the second mode of operation.

  • Patent number: 9603209
Abstract: Dimming or illumination control of an LED-based lighting fixture can utilize a combination of pulse width modulation and constant current reduction. A light emitting diode driver can implement pulse width modulation to control light over a first light intensity range and constant current reduction over a second light intensity range. The first light intensity range can be less intense than the second light intensity range. Thus, the driver can practice constant current reduction for dimming at higher light intensities and pulse width modulation for dimming at lower light intensities.
