  • Publication number: 20180042593
Abstract: Protective barrier for laparoscopy is provided and comprises bag with closed bottom, wall(s), and open end. Bag may comprise drawstring and/or optional flexible stay(s), in internal channel around periphery of open end of bag. Bag may optionally comprise self-sealing communication in closed bottom. Furthermore, bag may also include flexible ring or other shape positioned inside bag and tube passing through communication in closed bottom. Protective barrier is configured to be collapsed, rolled, and/or folded into a size that can pass through an opening, such as a trocar. Protective barrier, when deployed in the peritoneal cavity, may be used to collect tissue, tissue parts, blood and/or other fluid that may spray during Morcellation or other laparoscopic procedure. After completion of the procedure, protective barrier can be collapsed, rolled or folded at a size that can be easily removed from the peritoneal cavity.

  • Patent number: 9874041
Abstract: An emergency access tool is designed to unfold into unique geometrical shapes that allow for the tool to act as a Class 1 lever to access a locked privacy partition stall door from the outside area thereof. The tool provides a handle to impart input force, a shaft rotatable out of a collapsed position of storage within the handle into alternative fixed operating positions with respect to the handle, a proximal portion of the shaft having a reduced diameter intermediate section, the intermediate section providing a fulcrum point where leverage is achieved while the tool is inserted within the door seam of the partition, and a distal end section which maintains a substantially perpendicular orientation with respect to the shaft during use of the tool. The end section of the tool is sized and adapted to make contact with the interior door lock of the partition and impart the output force necessary to unlock the lock latch and allow entry into the privacy partition stall.

  • Patent number: 9808228
Abstract: Protective barrier for laparoscopy. The barrier has a closed bottom, wall(s), and open end. The barrier may incorporate a drawstring and/or optional flexible stay(s), in internal channel around periphery of the open end of bag. The barrier may optionally utilize self-sealing communication in closed bottom. Furthermore, barrier may also include flexible ring or other shapes positioned inside and tube passing through communication in the closed bottom. Protective barrier is configured to be collapsed, rolled, and/or folded into a size that can pass through an opening, such as a trocar. • Patent number: 4314318
Abstract: A light reflector, preferably for at least three different color light sources, used in a cluster arrangement, which beams the rays of the input light sources to the target or area destined for illumination in closely adjacent and parallel relation, so that the visually perceived color of the light beam is a function of the mixture of the input light source, and can be readily varied over a wide range by varying the intensity and amounts of the individual light inputs.
