  • Publication number: 20210104029
Abstract: Techniques related to synthesizing an image of a person in an unseen pose are discussed. Such techniques include detecting a body part occlusion for a body part in a representation of the person in a first image and, in response to the detected occlusion, projecting a representation of the body part from a second image having a different view into the first image. A geometric transformation based on a source pose of the person and a target pose is then applied to the merged image to generate a synthesized image comprising a representation of the person in the target pose.

  • Patent number: 10965370
Abstract: An optical performance monitor comprises a first stage configured to receive a multiplexed optical signal. The first stage is tunable over a period. The first stage periodically filters the multiplexed optical signal over an optical channel to produce a fine filtered optical signal. A second stage is coupled to the first stage and has a second-stage transfer function. The second stage receives the fine filtered optical signal and produces one or a plurality of interfered optical signal pairs. A third stage is coupled to the second stage and has a third-stage transfer function. The third stage receives the optical signal pairs and demultiplexes the optical signal pairs to produce a plurality of demultiplexed optical signals. The combination of the second-stage transfer function and the third-stage transfer function is flatter over the optical channel than the third-stage transfer function.

  • Patent number: 10822899
Abstract: A technique facilitates use of a liner hanger in a wide variety of environments by distributing loading. The liner hanger may comprise a liner hanger cone, e.g. an annular cone body, having a plurality of slots for receiving corresponding pipe-gripping slips. The slip slots and the corresponding pipe-gripping slips are staggered both longitudinally and circumferentially to distribute loading. An actuator may be used to shift the slips into gripping engagement with a surrounding pipe, e.g. casing, to improve the load distribution on the surrounding pipe and liner hanger cone once the liner is supported.

  • Patent number: 10827292
Abstract: Various embodiments relate generally to electrical and electronic hardware, computer software, wired and wireless network communications, and audio and speaker systems. More specifically, disclosed are an apparatus and a method for processing signals for optimizing audio, such as 3D audio, by adjusting the filtering for cross-talk cancellation based on listener position and/or orientation. In one embodiment, an apparatus is configured to include a plurality of transducers, a memory, and a processor configured to execute instructions to determine a physical characteristic of a listener relative to the origination of the multiple channels of audio, to cancel crosstalk in a spatial region coincident with the listener at a first location, to detect a change in the physical characteristic of the listener, and to adjust the cancellation of crosstalk responsive to detecting the change in the physical characteristic to establish another spatial region at a second location.

  • Patent number: 10823099
Abstract: A controller associated with an engine monitoring system may determine a voltage value concerning at least one supercapacitor associated with the engine monitoring system. The controller may selectively cause, based on determining whether the voltage value satisfies a voltage value threshold, the at least one supercapacitor, or a battery associated with the engine monitoring system, to provide electrical power to a sensor system associated with the engine monitoring system. The controller may obtain, from the sensor system, vibration information relating to an engine associated with the engine monitoring system and pressure information relating to a crankcase of the engine. The controller may determine, based on the vibration information and the pressure information, engine speed information related to the engine and may send the engine speed information to a monitoring device.

  • Patent number: 10808507
Abstract: A technique facilitates actuation and use of a liner hanger in a wide variety of environments. Depending on the application, the liner hanger may be conveyed downhole within a casing located in a wellbore. The liner hanger comprises slips which may be set against the casing by applying a pressurized fluid through a liner hanger port to a liner hanger actuator. After the slips are set, the liner hanger may be actuated to form a metal-to-metal seal which blocks further fluid flow through the port, thus isolating the port during subsequent downhole operations.
