  • Publication number: 20200139932
Abstract: Systems and methods are directed to detecting tampering with a secured area of an autonomous vehicle. In one example, a computing system performs operations including generating a first key pair comprising a first private key and a first public key as part of a vehicle registration process; providing the first public key to one or more remote computing systems; determining whether a reset event occurred at a vehicle; in response to determining that the reset event occurred, discarding the first key pair and generating a second key pair comprising a second private key and a second public key; receiving a status query from one of the one or more remote computing systems; generating a response to the status query, the response being signed using either the first private key or the second private key; and providing the response to the one of the one or more remote computing systems.

  • Publication number: 20200117206
Abstract: The disclosure relates to controlling braking a vehicle in an autonomous driving mode. For instance, the vehicle may be controlled the autonomous driving mode according to a first braking control mode using a first model to adjust the position of a vehicle relative to an expected position of a current trajectory of the vehicle. Using a second model how close to a maximum deviation threshold the vehicle would come if a maximum braking strength for the vehicle was applied is predicted. The maximum deviation threshold may provide an allowed forward deviation from the current trajectory. Based on the prediction, the vehicle is controlled in the autonomous driving mode according to a second braking control mode by automatically applying the maximum braking strength.

  • Publication number: 20200114889
Abstract: The disclosure relates to controlling braking behaviors a vehicle in an autonomous driving mode in the event of a hydraulic system failure. For instance, the vehicle may be controlled in the autonomous driving mode according to a first braking control behavior based on a first relationship between position of a brake pedal of the vehicle and amount of deceleration for the vehicle. While controlling the vehicle, a failure of a hydraulic system may be determined. Based on the determination, the vehicle may be controlled in the autonomous driving mode according to a second braking control behavior by moving the brake pedal until the vehicle reaches a deceleration target defined by the second braking control behavior.

  • Patent number: 10624182
Abstract: A modular lighting system includes a number of LEDs, a communication module, a driver module, an auxiliary module, and a communication bus. The communication module includes a first port. The driver module includes a second port, rectifying circuitry, and conversion circuitry. The driver module drives the LEDs at the second port in response to information received at the second port. The rectifying circuitry and conversion circuitry convert an AC input signal into a DC power signal that is provided at the second port. The auxiliary module has a third port. The communication module, the driver module, and the auxiliary module are associated with the communication bus such that the driver module supplies DC power over the communication bus and the communication bus provides bi-directional communication.

  • Patent number: 10467071
Abstract: An extensible key management system includes a developer services portal for accessing an application. The system may identify initiation via the developer services portal of an association of the application with an external API of a third party provider service and automatically obtain a sub-key for the external API from the third party provider service on behalf of a developer of the application. The sub-key may be obtained in accordance with authorization provided by a master key previously provided from the third party provider service. The system may map an association between the sub-key, the application and the external API and store the association. Upon receipt of a service call message resulting from a request from a user device executing the application, the system may identify and replace a developer API key included in the service call message with the sub-key based on the stored association.

  • Patent number: 10372518
Abstract: An extensible single point orchestration system receives service requests from applications. In dependence upon the service request a single third party provider service or multiple third party provider services is identified. When the single third party provider service is identified, the system dynamically adapts a core capability service, using a stored configuration entity, so as to set an appropriate message format and transmit a service call message to an external API of the identified single third party provider service. When multiple third party provider services are identified, the system dynamically adapts the core capability service, using another stored configuration entity, so as to set a respective appropriate message format for parallel data transmission of service call messages to each of the respective identified third party provider services and transmits the service call messages to respective external APIs of each of the third party provider services.
