  • Patent number: 6857272
Abstract: A fuel delivery system for a gas turbine engine combustor, the combustor having at least two fuel injectors of substantially the same design. All the fuel injectors are in flow communication with a first fuel supply via a first manifold, and some but not all of the injectors are in flow communication with a second fuel supply via a second manifold. During normal operation of the gas turbine engine combustor fuel is supplied to all of the fuel injectors via the first manifold. However, during predetermined engine operating conditions a second fuel supply is used to supply fuel flow in those fuel injectors in flow communication with the second manifold.

  • Patent number: 5350140
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a universal control console for use on domestic washing machines or dryers. The control console of the present invention extends between a pair of mounting end caps, and provides a plurality of mounting means to facilitate the mounting and attachment of controls thereto. The apertures include a central aperture having upwardly and downwardly extending rectangular apertures and a generally circular main opening. The main opening includes a pair of opposed radial notches. Below the downwardly extending rectangular aperture is a generally T-shaped aperture. Several generally tab-receiving apertures are laterally-spaced from the central aperture. The openings in the control console cooperate to mount a variety of control devices, allowing interchangeability among controls which is desirable for different appliance models.

  • Patent number: 5076048
Abstract: The throttle fuel flow of an aircraft jet engine is controlled by measuring the actual value of an engine parameter demand and measuring the error between the actual value and a value of the parameter demand calculated from a number of engine operating data. The error is then used to drive an integrating fuel throttle value until the error is substantially zero. The engine parameter chosen is the high pressure compressor delivery mach number.
