  • Publication number: 20240001142
Abstract: We disclose a method, comprising administering, to a patient suffering from a cancer, low-dose radiation, whereby expression of a target on a surface of a cancer cell increases after the low-dose radiotherapy; and administering, to the patient, a cell-based target-specific cancer therapy, wherein a cell of the cancer therapy interacts with the target. The method may further comprise administering an additional cancer treatment modality. We also disclose a kit comprising a cell of the cell-based target-specific cancer therapy; and instructions to perform the method. Further, we disclose a similar method and corresponding kit, wherein low-dose radiation induces expression of an intracellular target, and a small molecule cancer therapy interacting with the intracellular target is administered.

  • Publication number: 20230023987
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods of treating cancer in a patient comprising administering a combination of a low dose radiotherapy and an immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy. The patient may be further administered a cell therapy, such as chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy or chimeric antigen receptor NK-cell therapy. The low dose radiation modulates the tumor microenvironment of solid tumors to allow better efficacy, activation, and infiltration of the anti-tumor effector immune cells.

  • Patent number: 5816224
Abstract: A system for storing, handling, and controlling the delivery of the gaseous fuel to internal combustion engine powered devices adapted to run simultaneously on both a liquid fuel and a gaseous fuel. The invention provides a control system having a float controlled solenoid for ensuring that a consistent supply of dry gas is delivered to the engine. The invention uses the sensors and computer of the existing electronic fuel delivery system of the device to adjust the amount of liquid fuel delivery to compensate for the amount of gaseous fuel injection. The invention provides a gaseous fuel control system for a dual fuel device which is integrated and compact, and which preferably includes a fuel fill connection for the gaseous fuel. The invention also provides a horizontal fuel reservoir comprised of end interconnected parallel conduits and, preferably, includes two separate compartments and a pressure relief system for permitting expansion into a relief compartment from a main compartment.

  • Patent number: 4603889
Abstract: A threaded fastener having an axis adapted to thread connect to two bodies for holding such bodies in fastened condition, one body having one thread and another body having another thread, the fastener comprising(a) threading having first and second load flanks which face axially oppositely,(b) said first flank defining a first pitch, and said second flank defining a second pitch, said pitches being different and characterized in that when said fastener is screwed onto body threads said first flank tightens against said one body thread when said second flank tightens against said other body thread.

  • Patent number: 4542784
Abstract: Method and apparatus are disclosed for selectively clamping the edges of electronic modules into mechanical and thermal contact with a fluid coolant circuit. A stack of plural substantially parallel and generally planar fluid conduit-containing structures having spaced apart parallel legs jointly receive a stack of plural generally planar electronic modules disposed transversely therewithin. Each of the fluid conduit-containing structures includes mechanical/thermal contact pads disposed approximately perpendicular to its general plane on the inside edges of the parallel legs with the pads on some of the structures being directed one way and those on others of the structures being directed in an opposite way. At least one such set of structures is then collectively moved so as to selectively clamp the edges of the stack of electronic modules between opposingly directed contact pads.

  • Patent number: 4479666
Abstract: A fastening assembly includes:(a) an axially elongated fastener having axially spaced differentially threaded portions respectively adapted to threadably engage threaded extents on members to be interconnected, and(b) structure extending at the side of the fastener and having interconnection therewith characterized as facilitating transmission of torque to the fastener to rotate the fastener about the axis while allowing relative axial displacement between the fastener and the structure, whereby the threaded portions are then adapted to threadably interfit the threaded extents to make-up the assembly.

  • Patent number: 4373493
Abstract: A method and apparatus for utilizing both a liquid fuel and a gaseous fuel with a minimum change in a standard internal combustion engine. The gaseous and liquid fuels are fed from separate fuel supplies with the flow of fuels being controlled in response to engine load so that at engine idle only gaseous fuel is supplied and combusted by the engine and both gaseous and liquid fuels are supplied and combusted when the engine is operating under load conditions.

  • Patent number: 3944310
Abstract: A cabinet for high shock and vibration environments such as shipboard use. A pair of side panels are bolted to the deck or other rigid structure. Front, top and back panels are then secured to the side panels through mating surfaces capable of transferring shear forces. The mating surfaces include cooperating tooth forms. The tooth forms have sloping sides that produce a wedging interfitting relationship between the plates and side panels.
