  • Patent number: 11752598
Abstract: This clamping tool uses optical distance verification with a laser. Clamping tools, like all tools, are known to be operated improperly. Many tools verify process completion by monitoring the pressure within the pneumatic tool. Previous qualifiers use pressure to determine many things. However, it often misses if a small object impedes a full stroke. With the addition of an optical laser sensor, we are able to determine if a clamping tool reaches full stroke.

  • Publication number: 20230274480
Abstract: A method of populating a digital environment with digital content is disclosed. Environment data describing the digital environment is accessed. Populator data describing a populator digital object is accessed. The populator data includes semantic data describing the populator digital object. The populator digital object is placed within the digital environment. A semantic map representation of the populator digital object is generated. The semantic map representation is divided into a plurality of cells. A target cell of the plurality of cells is selected as a placeholder in the digital environment for a digital object that is optionally subsequently instantiated. The selecting of the target cell is based on an analysis of the environment data, the populator data, and the semantic map representation. Placeholder data is recorded in the semantic map representation. The placeholder data includes properties corresponding to the digital object that is optionally subsequently instantiated.

  • Publication number: 20230266771
Abstract: Techniques for utilizing multiple scales of images as input to machine learning (ML) models are discussed herein. Operations can include providing an image associated with a first scale to a first ML model. An output of the first ML model can include a first bounding box indicative of a first region of the image representing a first object, with the first bounding box falling within a first range of sizes. Next, a scaled image can be generated by scaling the image. The scaled image can be provided to a second ML model, which can output a second bounding box indicative of a second region of the image representing a second object, the second bounding falling within a second range of sizes. Thus, inputting a scaled image to a same ML model (or to different ML models) can result in different detected features in the images.

  • Publication number: 20230265734
Abstract: A toe prepper for a downhole casing tool, and a method of fracking are presented. The toe prepper includes a ball sub and a port sub. The ball sub includes a ball j oint, a ball, and a ball seat. The ball joint has a stepped inner surface defining a receptacle. The ball seat is positionable in the receptacle, and has a ring-shaped body shaped to receivingly support the ball. The port sub includes a port j oint, ports extending through the port j oint, and port plugs positioned in the ports. The port plugs are dissolvable upon exposure to a fluid. The ball and the ball seat are shaped to prevent the passage of fluid from the ball sub and into the port sub until activated by the fluid to release the ball from the ball seat.

  • Patent number: 11734473
Abstract: Techniques for determining an error model based on vehicle data and ground truth data are discussed herein. To determine whether a complex system (which may be not capable of being inspected) is able to operate safely, various operating regimes (scenarios) can be identified based on operating data. To provide safe operation of such a system, an error model can be determined that can provide a probability associated with perception data and a vehicle can determine a trajectory based on the probability of an error associated with the perception data.
