  • Publication number: 20230383869
Abstract: A composite tube comprising a region of greater diameter forming a bellow. The bellow has a first side and a second side spaced apart in the axial direction of the tube. Each side of the bellow comprises at least one hole and the at least one hole on the first side is offset in relation to the at least one hole on the second side. The holes in the bellow provide increased flexibility, thereby allowing a greater amount of bending or articulation in the shaft. The holes reduce the amount of material in the sides of the bellow, thereby reducing the material stiffness and thereby increasing the flexibility.

  • Publication number: 20230386622
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to use of a rapid-test-validation computing device to determine if a result of a rapid test device is valid and identify the result. The rapid-test-validation computing device captures images of the rapid test device and employs a first artificial intelligence mechanism to determine if the rapid test device is properly aligned in the images. The rapid-test-validation computing device then employs a second artificial intelligence mechanism to determine if a result of the rapid test device is valid or invalid. If the result is valid, the rapid-test-validation computing device employs a third artificial intelligence mechanism to determine and present an objective output of the rapid test device result to a user; otherwise, the rapid-test-validation computing device presents a notification to the user that the rapid test device result is invalid.

  • Publication number: 20230383289
Abstract: Compositions and methods are provided herein for conducting prime editing of a target DNA molecule (e.g., a genome) that enables the incorporation of a nucleotide change and/or targeted mutagenesis. The compositions include fusion proteins comprising nucleic acid programmable DNA binding proteins (napDNAbp) and a polymerase (e.g., reverse transcriptase), which is guided to a specific DNA sequence by a modified guide RNA, named an PEgRNA. The PEgRNA has been altered (relative to a standard guide RNA) to comprise an extended portion that provides a DNA synthesis template sequence which encodes a single strand DNA flap which is synthesized by the polymerase of the fusion protein and which becomes incorporated into the target DNA molecule.

Abstract: Approaches are described for storing, managing, and dispensing products from automated multi-user kiosks. For example, a multi-user kiosk may include interface sides alternating with non-interface panels including at least one storage door for loading products. Products are stored in a shared storage within the kiosk. The shared storage may be a plurality of carousels stacked as a single column Each carousel can rotate independently of each other. Users are verified and authorized prior to purchasing products or accessing storage for loading products. A first carousel containing a first product may be rotated in a first direction to dispense the first product to a first user at a first side of the kiosk at substantially a same time as a second carousel containing a second product rotates in a second direction to dispense the second product to a second user at a second side of the kiosk.

  • Publication number: 20230356364
Abstract: This clamping tool uses optical distance verification with a laser. Clamping tools, like all tools, are known to be operated improperly. Many tools verify process completion by monitoring the pressure within the pneumatic tool. Previous qualifiers use pressure to determine many things. However, it often misses if a small object impedes a full stroke. With the addition of an optical laser sensor, we are able to determine if a clamping tool reaches full stroke.

  • Publication number: 20230359730
Abstract: A system including a deep learning processor receives one or more control signals from one or more of a factory's process, equipment and control (P/E/C) systems during a manufacturing process. The processor generates expected response data and expected behavioral pattern data for the control signals. The processor receives production response data from the one or more of the factory's P/E/C systems and generates production behavioral pattern data for the production response data. The process compares at least one of: the production response data to the expected response data, and the production behavioral pattern data to the expected behavioral pattern data to detect anomalous activity. As a result of detecting anomalous activity, the processor performs one or more operations to provide notice or cause one or more of the factory's P/E/C systems to address the anomalous activity.

  • Patent number: 11811841
Abstract: Visual content to be displayed on a display of a user device is received. Obfuscation data for obscuring the visual content is generated and the obscured visual content is displayed on the display. A request to stop obscuring the visual content is transmitted from the user device to a remote device, in response to a drag gesture detected at the user device. As the drag gesture is performed, the obfuscation data is modified to reduce a level of obfuscation applied to the visual content before the request has been accepted, so that the visual content remains obscured but with a lower level of obfuscation. If the request is subsequently accepted at the remote device, the display is controlled to stop obscuring the visual content, thereby rendering the visual content fully visible on the display.
