  • Patent number: 10670070
Abstract: A telescopic drive shaft in a protective tube of a handheld work apparatus has one end connected to a rotational drive and the other end thereof to a driven tool. The drive shaft includes a rigid shaft segment and a connecting section. The rigid shaft segment has a hollow shaft end portion and an engagement length (E) of the connecting section engages therein. The engagement length (E) and the length of the hollow shaft end portion mutually overlap to form a joining section. The hollow shaft end portion is deformed for connecting the connecting section to the rigid shaft segment. The material of the hollow shaft end portion is compressed over its entire periphery and deformed so that the material of the hollow shaft end portion is radially displaced and is pressed in a rotative manner onto the engagement length (E) to produce a balanced, loadable connection.

  • Patent number: 10531610
Abstract: A guard tube assembly for a drive shaft of a power tool has a guard tube with a tube cross section deviating from a circular shape and having an inner contour and a center. An inner support tube inside the guard tube supports the drive shaft. The inner support tube has a bearing sleeve supported by support elements on the inner contour. The inner contour has a first and a second circumferential section. The first circumferential section has a smallest spacing to the center and the second circumferential section has a largest spacing to the center. The elastic support elements have a contact surface contacting the inner contour and spaced at a contact surface spacing to the center. The contact surface spacing is longer than the smallest spacing of the first circumferential section and shorter than or identical to the largest spacing of the second circumferential section.

  • Patent number: 10307930
Abstract: A guide bar for a saw chain includes an elongate, flat base body made of a basic material. The base body extends along a longitudinal center axis and, in order to guide a saw chain, has a running surface formed on an outer periphery thereof and a guide groove formed in the outer periphery of the base body. The guide groove has a groove base. A direction-reversing section for the saw chain is provided at one end of the base body. The direction-reversing section includes at least one add-on component having a running surface made of more wear-resistant material than the basic material of the base body. The add-on component is secured to the base body of the guide bar by at least one weld seam. • Patent number: 10302142
Abstract: A power tool is provided with a drive motor and a tool unit with a tool driven by the drive motor. A guide tube with telescoping section with external and internal tubes is provided, wherein the internal tube is longitudinally slidable within the external tube. A clamping device secures the internal tube relative to the external tube and has a clamping member supported rotatably relative to the internal tube and connected by a thread connection to the external tube. The clamping device is provided with a clamping ring with an opening arranged about an outer circumference of the internal tube. Compression of the clamping ring in longitudinal guide tube direction effects a size reduction of the clamping ring opening. The clamping ring has a first axial face supported relative to the external tube and a second axial face supported relative to the clamping member.

Abstract: A receiving clamp for a power tool has a clamp body with first and second end faces and a receptacle extending from the first to the second end face. The receptacle is provided to receive a guide rod of the power tool. The receptacle has a longitudinal center axis and a slot extending from the first to the second end face. The slot is open across its entire length relative to the environment. The clamp body has bending elasticity in a direction transverse to the slot so that the slot can be widened. A suspending location is arranged on the clamp body and connectable to a carrying system for the power tool. The suspending location is arranged such that, when the receiving clamp is suspended by the suspending location and the longitudinal center axis is positioned in a horizontal plane, the slot is lower than the suspending location.

  • Publication number: 20180023680
Abstract: A work apparatus has a gear unit which is arranged in a gear housing. The gear unit includes a drive part arranged in a first housing part of the gear housing and an output part arranged in a second housing part. The two housing parts are connected to each other via a pivot joint which permits pivoting of the second housing relative to the first housing part about a pivot axis. The pivot joint has a clamping device for bracing the two housing parts in the direction of the pivot axis. The force exerted with the clamping device on the two housing parts is adjustable via a clamping element. To avoid loosening or releasing of the clamping device even after frequent pivoting, the clamping element moves during clamping in the direction of a clamping axis which encloses an angle ? which is more than 10° with the pivot axis.

  • Publication number: 20120285296
Abstract: An apparatus for filing a saw chain has a guide for a file holder, a file and a saw chain. The saw chain has cutting teeth wherein a depth limiter is arranged leading each cutting tooth. The guide has a placement part, which can be seated on the saw chain, and a carriage. The carriage accommodates the file holder. The carriage is mounted on the placement part in a displaceable manner in a displacement direction transversely to the longitudinal direction of the saw chain. The file holder is guided at an angle to this longitudinal direction and is supported on the cutting tooth to be filed and on the depth limiter. For a guide for the file holder, the carriage has two parallel side guides, which are arranged at a distance from each other, are arranged perpendicularly to the displacement direction, and delimit a receptacle for the file holder.
