  • Publication number: 20180026948
Abstract: A system and method for encrypting and decrypting data for communication via a communication device, in which at least certain aspects of the encryption and decryption functions are performed on a chip and using physical signal conductors rather than in software. The chip includes a chip controller for managing the other components, an encryption/decryption module for performing the encryption and decryption functions, a memory element for containing the encryption and decryption keys, and an I/O control module for controlling input and output operations. These components are connected by the physical signal conductors which facilitate communication therebetween under the control of a protocol provided by the chip controller. The chip may also include an RF spectrum analyser for analysing signals to determine whether electronic eavesdropping is occurring, in which case the user is warned if eavesdropping is detected.

  • Publication number: 20170180212
Abstract: A network access control method involves requesting access to a network via a wireless communication adapter for a personal electronic device. Then, an acoustic audio code output by an audio signaling device connected to the wireless communication adapter by wire is acoustically captured by the personal electronic device. A digital representation of the captured acoustic audio code is submitted from the personal electronic device to the wireless communication adapter via wireless communication. Subsequently, the wireless communication adapter authenticates the personal electronic device on the basis of the submitted digital representation of the captured acoustic audio code.

  • Patent number: 9550851
Abstract: A method for the reversible crosslinking of, for example, adhesives or coating materials, and a composition stable on storage at room temperature for implementing the crosslinking reaction. The reversible crosslinking method allows very rapid crosslinking even at a low first temperature, and undoing of the crosslinks at higher temperatures, thereby recovering thermoplastic processability and, for example, allowing the originally bonded substrates to be parted from one another again easily. A particular aspect is that a plurality of cycles of crosslinking and undoing of the crosslinks are possible with the present system. A feature of the system used for the reversible crosslinking is that it contains two components, A and B, where component A is a compound having at least two protected dithioester functionalities, preferably cyanodithioester functionalities, and component B is a compound having at least two diene functionalities.

  • Patent number: 9299355
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for improving a stereo audio signal of an FM stereo radio receiver (10). It is suggested to employ components of a standard HE-ACC v2 decoder (40) in such apparatus (1) to efficiently recover the stereo audio signal (L\R?) while also exhibiting good signal quality. To that end, parametric stereo parameters (15) shall be quantized and submitted to such decoder (40) together with a mono-downmix signal (25). The decoder (25) can then easily recover the parametric stereo parameters (15) by de-quantizing them via a simple lookup table, and finally creating the stereo output signal (L?R?) from the de-quantized parametric stereo parameters and the mono-downmix signal (25). The apparatus (1) further includes a parameter estimation stage (5) which may again be embodied on the basis of components of a standard HE-ACC v2 encoder (65).
