  • Patent number: 10394881
Abstract: Some implementations can include a computer-implemented method and/or system for automatic suggestions to share images containing people of importance to a user. The method can include determining, based on pixels of an image associated with a user account, one or more clusters associated with the image. The method can also include determining a share probability score for the image based on a probabilistic model and determining that the share probability score meets a threshold. The method can further include, in response to determining that the share probability score meets the threshold, providing a suggestion to a user associated with the user account to share the image.

  • Patent number: 10118487
Abstract: The method, system, and computer-readable medium facilitates monitoring a vehicle operator during the course of vehicle operation to determine whether the vehicle operator is impaired (e.g., distracted, drowsy, intoxicated) and alerting the vehicle operator using a haptic alert delivered by a wearable computing device worn by the vehicle operator when impairment is detected. The method, system, and computer-readable medium may monitor the vehicle operator, the environment surrounding the vehicle, and/or forces acting on the vehicle using a variety of sensors, including optical sensors or accelerometers. In particular, optical sensors may monitor the vehicle operator to detect eye blinks, head nods, head rotations, and/or gaze fixation. Optical sensors may also monitor the road ahead of the vehicle to detect lane deviation, lane centering, and time to collision. Accelerometers may detect acceleration in the direction of vehicle travel and/or lateral acceleration.

  • Patent number: 10046444
Abstract: A tool includes a first body, a rotary member, a positioning unit and an engaging unit. By the positioning unit and the engaging unit, the rotary member is positioned relative to the first body with dual-positioning feature. When the first body is rotated, the rotary member is positioned by the positioning unit and the engaging unit. The rotary member is not likely to freely rotate because both of the positioning unit and the engaging unit fail when using the tool.

  • Patent number: 10025714
Abstract: A computer system includes a dual in-line memory module (DIMM), such as a registered DIMM (RDIMM), and a non-volatile DIMM (NVDIMM). A central processing unit (CPU) of the computer system has internal cache memory locations for caching data for the DIMM and NVDIMM. A memory type range register (MTTR) of the CPU is set for write-back cache strategy for a range of memory locations in the DIMM and NVDIMM. The computer system includes a power supply that, in the event of a power failure, triggers a hardware non-maskable interrupt (NMI) and sustains power to the CPU to allow cached data to be saved to non-volatile memory locations in the NVDIMM before the computer system completely powers down.

  • Patent number: 10013153
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes detecting a plurality of faces within one or more images, and, for each of the plurality of faces, registering the face with a contact. The method further includes receiving a selection of one of the plurality of faces from a user, and, in response to the selection of the one of the plurality of faces, determining the contact associated with the selected one of the plurality of faces. Still further, the method includes retrieving information about the contact, and generating a list of selectable communication types to be displayed to the user on a display device.

  • Patent number: 9934560
Abstract: Methods and systems for modifying an image by applying an effect to an image are described. The effects include a pop effect, a light adjustment, or a color adjustment to an image. The methods and systems include providing a user slider for applying an effect to the image. The methods and systems further include determining a first portion of the image including a face and creating a protection mask to protect the face in the first portion during image modification. The protection mask may include an enhancement threshold for modifying the first portion of the image. The modification of the image may include modifying the second portion of the image differently than the first portion of the image. A method for enforcing different resolutions of a same input image to produce similar visual results is also described.

  • Patent number: 9864901
Abstract: Implementations relate to image feature detection and masking in images based on color distributions. In some implementations, a computer-implemented method to determine a mask for an image includes determining a spatial function for a detected feature depicted in the image, the function indicating pixels of the image relative to an estimated feature boundary. A respective color likelihood distribution is determined for each of multiple regions of the image based on one or more distributions of color values in the regions, including a feature region and a non-feature region. A confidence mask is determined based on the spatial function and one or more of the color likelihood distributions. The confidence mask indicates, for each of multiple pixels of the image, an associated confidence that the pixel is a feature pixel. A modification is applied to pixels in the image using the confidence mask.
