  • Publication number: 20240119179
Abstract: A method of protecting user privacy online includes collecting, via a computer-based user data agent, user data generated by a user on a user device and identifying a first set of traits associated with the user data. The method further includes generating a user profile based on the first set of traits associated with the user data and generating an alternate persona defined by a second set of traits that is different from the first set of traits. The method further includes automatically performing online activities based on the alternate persona to produce artificial user data that obscures real user data.

  • Publication number: 20240119180
Abstract: A method of automatically tailoring sub-accounts of an online user account includes accessing, via a computer-based user data agent, the online user account that includes the sub-accounts and identifying traits associated with each of the sub-accounts. The traits include a first set of traits associated with a first sub-account and a second set of traits associated with a second sub-account. The method further includes generating a first alternate persona based on the first set of traits and generating a second alternate persona based on the second set of traits. The method further includes automatically performing online activities based on the first alternate persona for the first sub-account and based on the second alternate persona for the second sub-account to produce artificial user data that tailors the sub-accounts according to user preferences.

  • Publication number: 20240112228
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for generating efficient iterative electronic recommendation structures. In various aspects, one or more processors aggregate a plurality of ratings vectors, where each ratings vector is associated with a vector type and contains one or more content ranking metrics associated with one or more users. The one or more processors generate similarity pairing values from the plurality of ratings vectors, where each similarity pairing value is based on a similarity mapping between a first ratings vector and a second ratings vector. The one or more processors further generate an electronic recommendation structure based on the similarity pairing values, where the electronic recommendation structure includes a bi-directional look-up interface that is configured to return a bi-directional recommendation value after receiving a lookup request for either the vector type of the first ratings vector or the vector type of the second ratings vector.

  • Patent number: 11475118
Abstract: A mobile computing device can include a processing unit, wireless communication interfaces, and a computer-readable memory including instructions executable by the processing unit to cause the device to perform various operations. The device may receive a request to access an application includes application pages that may be configured to provide functional features of the application, and in response to receiving the request, may present an authentication user interface (UI) and may detect a gesture from a user by the UI. The device may transmit the gesture to an authentication server and may receive a confirmation from the server that the user has been successfully authenticated. The device may determine a specific application page to present to the user based on the gesture by accessing mappings between the application pages and corresponding gestures. The specific application page, providing functional features, can be presented to the user by the device.

  • Publication number: 20220229927
Abstract: A relative risk can be determined using an originating Internet Protocol (IP) address as an identifying factor for purposes of authenticating a user. The originating IP address can be used as an identifying factor for a particular user account to determine potentially fraudulent activity and reduce the risk of fraud. This additional identifying factor can be used as a part of an overall authentication platform to help screen fraud attempts and to authenticate valid and non-fraudulent users. Using certain aspects can distinguish whether originating IP addresses are public or private. Some examples can track and match originating IP addresses to user accounts and also can keep track of recently active sessions for each IP address.
