Patent number: 11963691Abstract: A surgical instrument, has an end effector that includes an ultrasonic blade, and a clamp arm that moves relative to the ultrasonic blade from an opened position toward an intermediate position and a closed position. The clamp arm is offset from the ultrasonic blade to define a predetermined gap in the intermediate position between the opened position and the closed position. A clamp arm actuator connects to the clamp arm and moves from an opened configuration to a closed configuration to direct the clamp arm from the opened position toward the intermediate position and the closed position. A spacer connects with the clamp arm to inhibit movement of the clamp arm from the intermediate position toward the closed position for maintaining the predetermined gap between the clamp arm and the ultrasonic blade.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2020Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: Cilag GmbH InternationalInventors: Ryan M. Patent number: 11843473Abstract: The exemplary embodiments are related to a device, system and method for implementing an audio orientated immersive experience of an event presented at a user device. A server is connected to a user device. The server generates a virtual environment that corresponds to a site of an event. The server receives tracking data corresponding to an object of the event. The tracking data is incorporated into the virtual environment. The server identifies a predetermined condition and selects enhancement data based on the predetermined condition. The predetermined condition corresponds to the tracking data and the virtual environment. The server transmits a data stream to the user device, the data stream including the enhancement data.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2022Date of Patent: December 12, 2023Assignee: DISNEY ENTERPRISES, INC.Inventors: Katherine H. Ham, Jason M. Black, Eliza D. McNair, Jared E. Watterworth, Natalia X. Pulido

Patent number: 10606073Abstract: A head-up display (HUD) apparatus is provided. The HUD apparatus includes a display holder configured to hold a single planar multiple-pixel display. The HUD apparatus also includes a single reflective and transmissive lens that is configured to reflect an image from the planar multiple-pixel display toward a predetermined location of a user. The reflective and transmissive lens is further configured to at least partially collimate light from the planar multiple-pixel display to focus the image at a distance in front of the reflective and transmissive lens for each eye of two eyes of the user.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 2017Date of Patent: March 31, 2020Assignee: Lockheed Martin CorporationInventors: Jason M. Patent number: 10215989Abstract: A system including a structure attachable to a surface in a real world environment, the structure establishing a known location and orientation of the structure, a docking element, as part of the structure, to secure an augmented reality device in a stationary position for alignment of the augmented reality device with the real world environment and with a parallel virtual environment, and a processor operable to perform the alignment by resetting the inertial navigation system of the augmented reality device to the known location when docked in the docking element and aligning the location and orientation of the virtual representation of the augmented reality device in the parallel virtual environment so that the parallel virtual environment in the augmented reality device overlaps the real world environment. A method and computer software produce are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 2016Date of Patent: February 26, 2019Assignee: Lockheed Martin CorporationInventors: Gregory A. Patent number: 10030931Abstract: A head mounted display (HMD)-based training tool includes a HMD, sensor components, and electronics components. The sensor components include an external environment sensor for obtaining data of a real training scene. The electronics components include a simulator including at least one processor coupled to receive the real training scene data. The simulator generates virtual image data based on simulator input signals, where the virtual image data represents at least one virtual object. A display device is coupled to receive the virtual image data from the simulator. A field of view (FOV) of the HMD includes the virtual object from the display device and a real-world view of the real training scene, wherein the simulator modifies the virtual image data responsive to changes in the simulator input signals.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 2011Date of Patent: July 24, 2018Assignee: Lockheed Martin CorporationInventors: Jason M.
