    Abstract: An apparatus comprises a body assembly, a shaft, an acoustic waveguide, an articulation section, an end effector, and an articulation drive assembly. The shaft extends distally from the body assembly and defines a longitudinal axis. The acoustic waveguide comprises a flexible portion. The articulation section is coupled with the shaft. A portion of the articulation section encompasses the flexible portion of the waveguide. The articulation section comprises a plurality of body portions aligned along the longitudinal axis and a flexible locking member. The flexible locking member is operable to secure the body portions in relation to each other and in relation to the shaft. The end effector comprises an ultrasonic blade in acoustic communication with the waveguide. The articulation drive assembly is operable to drive articulation of the articulation section to thereby deflect the end effector from the longitudinal axis.

    Abstract: A multiple variety planter is provided that has a direct vacuum system that allows for planting multiple varieties of seed while reducing occurrences of mis-planting events or planting inconsistencies such as multiples and skips by providing highly controllable seed meter vacuum performance characteristics that are controllable on a row-by-row basis. The direct vacuum system may include a vacuum unit at each row unit of the planter to apply a vacuum pressure to a seed meter at the row unit. Each vacuum unit may be individually and variably controlled to apply different vacuum pressures based on which seed variety is being planted with the respective seed meter at a given time.

An example apparatus includes a resistor, and a chip including a driver impedance calibration circuit configured to determine an impedance of the driver based on an impedance of the resistor. During a calibration operation, the driver impedance calibration circuit is configured to adjust an impedance code that controls an impedance of the driver to provide a next impedance code based on a comparison of a driver output voltage with a reference voltage. An adjustment step size of the impedance code is determined based on a value of the impedance code.

When a summon gesture is recognized, a user interface object, or point or interest thereof, automatically transitions to a desired position where the gesture was recognized. Objects can transition in a variety of manners. Also, a magnetic mode can be activated for virtually magnetizing objects of interest to a user's position, for example as the user touches various places on the display. A user's configurations can be stored into a cloud system for convenient access and use at a plurality of different data processing system user interfaces.

    Abstract: Provided is a system and method for automatically leaving an Outgoing Caller Message (OCM) at a callee's (i.e. called) recording system. If a mobile caller reaches an OutGoing Message (OGM) from a callee's system because the callee does not answer, the caller can opt to automatically leave a preconfigured message instead of spending time leaving a message. An OCM background thread of processing is started at the mobile device for taking over the active call, and the initial active call processing thread terminates for releasing user interface focus so the caller is free to perform other application processing while background processing occurs. The OCM background thread determines the best OCM to leave, for example based in part on a situational location of the mobile caller, and then automatically leaves the OCM at the callee's system before terminating the call.
