  • Patent number: 10528906
Abstract: A business process management (BPM) system, a business event processing system, and a business visibility system are integrated into a responsive process management platform using standardized messages to permit communication and collaboration among the systems. The BPM system has the capability to model and execute at least one monitoring process including at least one monitoring workstep. This monitoring process makes visible in the BPM system processes of interest that are executing in external systems. The business event processing system and/or the business visibility system have tools to allow users to easily configure those systems to sense events and send appropriate standardized messages to the other systems, can extract and send data to the BPM system, and can send alerts to the BPM system.

  • Patent number: 8738325
Abstract: A method and system for using a structured analytical process to model, analyze, plan and improve anticipated flows of information across agencies, department, companies etc. and across different disciplines and jurisdictions. The method includes a structured process for improving the flow of information through need-based communication planning. The method identifies the need for information, describes its availability and specifies the restrictions on its dissemination. It then uncovers information sharing opportunities, generates communication plans, discovers preventable communication breakdowns and prioritizes their remediations.

  • Publication number: 20070189509
Abstract: A method for identifying a data processing path in a distributed computing network is disclosed. Initially, a call from a local device to a remote device is initiated. A path identifier is then generated which uniquely identifies the flow of data from the local device to the remote device. The generated path identifier is then associated with the call and data associated with the initiated call is stored. The generated path identifier is then stored and associated with the data associated with the initiated call. Additionally, the generated path identifier can also be used to transmit additional data, not essential to the call, along the identified path.

  • Publication number: 20070016587
Abstract: A method of searching across a peer to peer network, each peer having searchable content and connected to a plurality of neighboring peers via links, comprises: establishing a contributor pipeline via the links to pass a query around the peers, for contribution of any available result content at respective peers; and establishing a read pipeline via the links to pass contributed results back to a query originator. The read pipeline allows results to be read by any intervening peer that is interested. The pipelines are set up using a subscribe and publish mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5809299
Abstract: A multimedia system for providing electronic information and transaction services that combines shared remote access to a utility database with local access to a local database. When information access is requested from an interactive multimedia player provided with the local database and coupled through a telecommunication network to the utility database, the information is first searched in the local database. If it is not found there, the request is forwarded to the utility database over the telecommunication network. Each data element is associated with a defined life span that determines an interval between the data element activation and deactivation.

Date of Patent: September 15, 1998
