  • Patent number: 10112429
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of forming color laser images. The latent image made up or color subpixels (2) and of non-colored zones is personalized by a laser beam (8) that acts in the laserable layer (3) situated under the color subpixels (2) and the non-colored zones to cause a final personalized color laser image to appear. The invention is applicable to identity documents.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 5, 2012
Date of Patent: October 30, 2018
Inventors: Jean Pierre Lazzari, Jean Marc Lazzari
  • Patent number: 10046590
Abstract: This disclosure includes a system and method for producing a back-lit color laser image, and an identity document using this method and back lighting system. The body of the identity document may be transparent. In various implementations, the light back-lights the color laser image which may be formed of sub-pixels partly covered by non-reflective surfaces in the protective layer. The light may enter through tiny holes in decorative patterns on the reverse side of the document. Various implementations may find particular applications for identity cards, credit cards, passports, driving licences, secure entry badges, etc.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 8, 2012
Date of Patent: August 14, 2018
Inventors: Jean Pierre Lazzari, Jean Marc Lazzari
  • Patent number: 9266350
Abstract: The present invention relates to forming color laser images that are observable with variable colors. The gray levels are produced by non-reflective, black volumes in a laserable layer that mask the adjacent subpixels and that cause variable colors to appear depending on the angle of observation of the document. The invention is applicable to official documents.

  • Patent number: 9035986
Abstract: A method for forming and a document having a color laser image with high reflective yield, which comprises a sheet of laserable material, sub-pixels in primary colors, the laser beam via carbonization exposing grey levels of the color image, and a substrate. The whole is laminated in various embodiments. The sub-pixels in various embodiments are separated by transparent regions which increase reflectivity and reinforce the white component of the personalised image. Layers of reflective varnish can reinforce reflectivity.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 16, 2012
Date of Patent: May 19, 2015
Inventors: Jean Pierre Lazzari, Jean Marc Lazzari
  • Patent number: 9001173
Abstract: Disclosed are examples of methods and documents of a color laser image observable in three dimensions, which comprises a laserable protective sheet, an array of lenses, colored sub-pixels in column form, wherein a laser beam causes the grey levels to appear in two color laser images observable in three dimensions via stereoscopic effect, and a substrate. The whole, in various implementations, may be laminated. The axes of the columns of sub-pixels and of the lenses may be perpendicular. The laser beam may scan the sub-pixels along the axis of the lenses, in various embodiments.
