  • Patent number: 11165196
Abstract: A connection device comprises a male element and a female element capable of being axially inserted one into the other and locking to one another by means of a bayonet mechanism. The male element and the female element each have a primary magnetic circuit comprising a ferromagnetic yoke and a plurality of magnets arranged in a plane transverse to the insertion axis. The magnetic circuits are capable of magnetically coupling to one another when the male element and the female element are in proximity and facing one another, in order to form a multipolar magnetic circuit in which the magnets are arranged between the two yokes in such a way as to generate a magnetic flux closing on the two yokes and generating an attractive axial magnetic force.

  • Patent number: 9231460
Abstract: A DC electric rotating machine, such as a starter of an automotive vehicle, includes a stator with salient poles having at least four poles distributed uniformly over the circumference of the stator, a rotor disposed inside the stator, a set of brushes adapted for the electric supply of the rotor, and at least two geometrically opposed salient poles. Each pole includes at least one substantially radial slot in a plane parallel to the axis of rotation of the rotor and preferably passes through the axis of the rotor. By minimizing the reaction fields of the armature, utilization of the magnetic material of the parts of the stator is balanced and a harmful armature reaction effect, which increases saturation of the polar parts of the inductor and which leads to reduction in the driving magnetic torque, is mitigated.

  • Patent number: 7804386
Abstract: The invention relates to an electromagnetic control device for the opening and closing of a mechanical element, particularly a valve of an internal combustion engine. The positioning of the mechanical element in at least one position (open or closed) is achieved by the action of at least one solenoid (90) acting on a plate controlling the position of the mechanical element. The device has at least two gaps which are closed by the plate on the positioning of the mechanical element in at least one position, the plate being mounted to rotate such that the axis of rotation of the plate is between the two gaps. The device also has at least one permanent magnet (99b) to polarize the device such as to hold the plate in at least one position in the absence of current through the solenoid (90), said permanent magnet (99b) not being crossed by the principal magnetic flux (92) of the solenoid (90).

  • Patent number: 7146943
Abstract: An electromechanical valve actuator for internal combustion engines is equipped with a polarized electromagnet exerting a magnetic action on a magnetic plate that is subject to a mechanical restoring action, which action can compensate for the mechanical action and maintain the plate in a distant position from the electromagnet. The actuator ensures that the displacements of the plate are controlled solely by this electromagnet and the mechanical restoring action such that the plate performs shuttle movements beginning from the distant position.
