  • Publication number: 20080173189
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to a juice extractor (1) permitting the processing of a food product. The juice extractor includes a base (2) enclosing an electric motor from which extends a drive shaft (7), a tank (3) transpierced by the drive shaft, an entry spout (5) for the food product, a strainer (4) set in the tank and supported and spun by the drive shaft, the strainer including a radial wall (33) perforated by several holes (16) and a solid bottom (11), and a food pusher (6) which can be inserted in the spout, the food product being pushed against the bottom of the strainer by the food pusher with a view to changing the texture of this food product and to collect the processed food product in the tank situated underneath the strainer. To reduce the risk of obtaining residues of a size which can cause the juice extractor to vibrate during use, the disclosed embodiments propose to create a strainer bottom which is stair-shaped.

  • Patent number: 6669124
Abstract: A safety device for a food processor, enables operation of the motor only when a pusher occupies the chute through which food products are introduced, thus preventing injury to the hands. The pusher has a rib, the lower end of which bears against a slider that can have a parallelogram cross section with inclined opposite end faces. When the pusher is advanced so the rib passes the slider, the rib displaces the slider laterally. The displaced slider in turn displaces a lid rod. The lid rod bears against a bowl rod. The lower end of the bowl rod operates a switch.

  • Patent number: 6474578
Abstract: A safety push-button keypad for a food processor has a base with an electric motor and its command circuit operated by a push-button key pad. A removable container is mounted on the base and can be closed with a cover. The cover has a cam that comes to rest, when the cover is locked onto the container, on the end of a stem running into a housing extending along an axis relative to the container, which can be cylindrical. Above the stem and in its extension extends a piston on which is fixed a microswitch mounted running into the base, a related push button corresponding with a lever coming to bear, when the piston is down, on the contact of the microswitch.
