  • Publication number: 20240104063
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to managing file systems. Update information associated with a change of a metric associated with a target object may be provided. A journal that includes a base bin that includes base records that associate the metric with each object in the file system. Records that include the change of the metric associated with the ancestors of target object may be generated. Another record that includes the change of the metric associated with the target object may be generated. A level bin associated with the base bin of the journal may be provided based on the update information. The records may be stored in the level bin using a sort order based on the ordering of the base bin records. In response a query, the journal may be employed to reduce latency in generating query results.

  • Patent number: 11853258
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to managing file systems over a network. A hierarchical index may be provided based on a file system and a plurality of objects stored in the file system A token index may be generated based on the hierarchical index. Each token may be a portion of the path of the objects Metric indices may be generated based on the hierarchical index and a plurality of metrics associated with the objects such that the metrics indices include one or more rows that corresponds to a place position for a metric value. Employing the token index and the metric indices to generate query results based on the plurality of metrics associated with the objects.

  • Patent number: 9436693
Abstract: The various embodiments are directed towards enabling access to snapshotted versions of files in a distributed file system. The distributed file system may receive a file system operation request that includes at least an entry-ID and a snapshot-ID. File system operation requests may include operations such as reads, writes, moves, or the like. Directory entries that match the entry-ID and the snapshot-ID may be looked up and retrieved from the distributed file system. The retrieved directory entries may also be arranged to include a generation-ID. In the directory entry matching the snapshot-ID, if the generation-ID and the snapshot-ID are different, another directory entry may be looked up from the distributed file system using the entry-ID and the generation-ID. Then the initially requested file system operation may be performed on the retrieved directory entry.

  • Patent number: 8600886
Abstract: A transaction account verification system and method are provided. A user computing device transmits an account registration request that includes a selection of an account verification technique. A service provider obtains the request and initiates a set of transactions with an identified financial service provider. The service provider generates at least one verification token reflective of the set of transactions and at least one piece of information associated with the selected account verification technique. The user computing device generates at least one user verification token from user input regarding the set of transactions and at least one piece of information associated with the selected account verification technique. The service provider can verify the transaction account and set transaction thresholds based upon matching verification tokens.

  • Patent number: 8290838
Abstract: A system and method for preventing fraud in an online transaction is shown. Requests for financial transactions between on-line account holders are detected as well as relationships between the accounts. A fraud value related to a likelihood that a fraud is occurring in the transactions is determined based on the relationship. An indication of a likelihood of fraud is provided if the fraud value exceeds a predetermined amount. Thus the transaction is terminated and the appropriate parties are automatically notified.

  • Patent number: 8128444
Abstract: An emergency floatation system for an aircraft includes an actuator box assembly that activates the floatation system either electrically or manually. The actuator box assembly is separated from a valve assembly of an inflation reservoir and provides an interface between an electromechanical trigger system and a redundant mechanical trigger system. The actuator box includes a pivot member that provides an interface for the redundant trigger systems and an output actuator. For normal operation a button in the cockpit is pressed which sends an electrical signal to an electromechanical actuator in the actuator box assembly. The electromechanical actuator rotates the pivot member, which operates the output actuator and opens the valve assembly. Alternatively, should the electrical system of the aircraft fail, the pilot or other occupant may activate the mechanical trigger system, thereby rotating the pivot member and activating the output actuator to open the valve assembly.
