Patent number: 11516757Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices related to an EHT multi-AP group are described. The coordinated APs of the EHT group are synchronized to the coordinator AP using a periodic or non-periodic frame. Each coordinated AP then synchronizes STAs associated with the coordinated AP. In response to an MPDU, either triggered by a trigger frame from the coordinator AP or initiated by the STA, an ACK frame or NDP response is sent by each AP receiving the MPDU. The response to the MPDU is dependent on whether frame aggregation is used, as well as whether the trigger frame triggers transmission of MPDUs from multiple STAs.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 2020Date of Patent: November 29, 2022Assignee: Intel CorporationInventors: Cheng Chen, Juan Fang, Po-Kai Huang, Laurent Cariou, Carlos Cordeiro, Jeffrey R. Foerster, Dave A. Cavalcanti, Roya Doostnejad

Publication number: 20220353652Abstract: A communication device for multi-radio access technology (RAT) communications includes one or more processors and a plurality of transceivers. Each transceiver is configured to operate in at least one RAT of a plurality of RATs. The processors are configured to establish connection with a second communication device using a first transceiver of the plurality of transceivers and a first RAT of the plurality of RATs. A first data stream associated with a communication link connected to the second communication device and a third communication device is receive via a convergence function at the second communication device. The communication link uses a second RAT of the plurality of RATs. A code sequence is applied to a second data stream to generate an encoded second data stream, which is transmitted to the third communication device via a second communication link established based on information received via the first data stream.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2022Publication date: November 3, 2022Inventors: Stefan Fechtel, Kilian Peter Anton Roth, Bertram Gunzelmann, Markus Dominik Mueck, Ingolf Karls, Zhibin Yu, Thorsten Clevorn, Nageen Himayat, Dave A. Patent number: 10165028Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for streaming digital content from a server to a client device in a way that is tailored to the context in which the client device is used. The context in which a client device is used may refer to, for example, the operational characteristics of the device and/or the environmental conditions under which the device is used. A client device can be configured to collect contextual data characterizing its use context. The way in which streaming media is delivered to the client device can be adjusted based on such contextual data, and in particular, can be adjusted in a way that tailors the content delivery to the specific use context. This can improve user experience and conserve battery and network resources, for example, by avoiding the streaming of high definition content to a device that, due to its use context, is able to render standard definition content.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2014Date of Patent: December 25, 2018Assignee: Intel CorporationInventors: Hassnaa Moustafa, Barry A. Patent number: 10091540Abstract: Examples are disclosed for transmitting video content. In some examples, cyclic redundancy check (CRC) values may be added to video content for video frames to be presented or displayed in a given region of a display. Results of CRC functions for consecutive video frames that use the added CRC values may be compared to determine whether the video content for the consecutive video frames is static video content. Video content for at least one of the consecutive video frames may be withheld from being transmitted if the video content for the consecutive video frames is characterized as static video content. Multiple CRC values or different CRC values may be added to further determine whether video content for the consecutive video frames or for subsequent consecutive video frames is also characterized as static video content. Other examples are described and claimed.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2016Date of Patent: October 2, 2018Assignee: INTEL CORPORATIONInventors: Guoqing Li, Jeffrey R. Foerster, Yaniv Frishman

Patent number: 9860294Abstract: Technology for receiving streaming media content is disclosed. A media presentation description (MPD) for the streaming media content can be received at a user equipment (UE). A streaming interval can be selected for the streaming media content. A power consumption level can be calculated for receiving the streaming media content at each of a plurality of media content representations that are described in the MPD. A media content representation can be selected from the plurality of media content representations based on: the power consumption level associated with receiving the streamed media content at the media content representation; and power status information for the UE, using the one or more processors of the UE. The streaming media content can be received at the selected media content representation, at the UE, in accordance with the streaming interval. The streaming media content can be played at the UE.Type: GrantFiled: December 24, 2014Date of Patent: January 2, 2018Assignee: Intel CorporationInventors: Mohamed M. Publication number: 20170090640Abstract: This disclosure pertains to Theremin-based positioning. In general, Theremin technology may operate based on changes in frequency that may be induced in a signal when a certain object (e.g., a user's hand) is proximate to a capacitive electrode. An example system may comprise at least four capacitive electrodes in an arrangement that reacts to proximate objects. A change in frequency sensed for any of the at least four capacitive electrodes may trigger a determination of distance from each of the capacitive electrodes to the object based on the frequency change, and a determination of object positioning data based on the distances. Embodiments may include, for example, the ability to verify the arrangement of the at least four capacitive electrodes, determine object position and/or orientation in a coordinate system referenced to the at least four capacitive electrodes, determine object motion, provide the positioning data to a requesting application, etc.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 24, 2015Publication date: March 30, 2017Applicant: Intel CorporationInventors: RICHARD D.
