  • Publication number: 20220053123
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for the authentication of video. One or more witness devices may provide data that may be used to authenticate a video or a picture generated by a camera. A computing device comprising the camera or a separate camera device may be recording video or taking pictures and may discover one or more witness devices located nearby and held by users shown in the video or pictures. The one or more witness devices may provide authentication data to the computing device or the camera device. The computing device or camera device may encode the authentication data with the picture or video content. An authentication device may decode the authentication data to determine whether the video or picture is authentic and has been unaltered.

  • Publication number: 20130283318
Abstract: Systems and methods for delivering video content for use in video rich user interfaces are disclosed. A mosaic channel may be generated, comprised of multiple video tiles each located at a different position within the mosaic channel, and transmitted to a receiving device. Audio for each video tile may also be provided. The receiving device may, using a 3D graphics engine (e.g., OpenGL), generate a video rich user interface navigable by a user to preview any of the different videos or other content included within the mosaic channel. The content included within the mosaic channel may be altered as the user is navigating the video rich user interface so that the user can continuously preview different content.

  • Patent number: 7937717
Abstract: The invention comprises a method adapted to manage access to information elements such as classes, data files, objects and methods within a shared library by each of a plurality of applications operating within a respective context. Library contexts including requested information elements are instantiated as necessary for each access requesting application. Location information pertaining to the instantiated library contexts is added to a corresponding location parameter of the requesting applications.

  • Patent number: 7603719
Abstract: A method and apparatus for enabling multiple application programs to control a system's physical resources by way of multiple resource proxies, while still enabling exclusive control of the physical resource by one application program. Control tokens are used to limit control to one proxy. The proxy having the control token is tracked in an access control list. Java API methods that can alter the state of a physical resource are marked with an access control attribute during grinding. A resource management module intercepts API methods attempting to obtain control of the physical resource. If a proxy controlled by the application program invoking the intercepted method has control the method is allowed to use the proxy to control the physical resource.

  • Publication number: 20040031052
Abstract: An inventive client/server system provides a platform for cable system operators to deliver a full range of sophisticated new products to cable television subscribers. Preferably a middleware solution, the information platform provides a flexible, versatile, and adaptable Internet-centric platform that network operators can use to deploy interactive television applications. The information platform mediates the communication between an abundance of Web-based content and the television set. Content and applications are written entirely in industry standard HTML and Java. Traditional television programming is integrated with Web content using TV-specific extensions to HTML and Java. Applications can be loaded from the network, from carousels, or from file systems, such as flash memory or EEPROM. The information platform consists of client-side middleware integrated with a native electronic program guide application.
