  • Patent number: 11890505
Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting gestures of a swimmer in an aquatic environment such as a flume pool. In one embodiment, a pool system includes a set of cameras, one of which is an overhead camera positioned above the water in the pool to capture images of a swimmer. The system also includes computer processors, such as a GPU, CPU, and game engine which implement a computer vision platform. The processors are configured to receive images from the cameras, determine the swimmer's body position from the images, detect a defined gesture in the swimmer's body position, and in response to detecting the defined gesture, invoking a corresponding control operation of the flume pool, such as controlling water flow through the pool or updating an interface display which is projected onto the interior surfaces of the pool.

  • Publication number: 20240036965
Abstract: Systems and methods for automated remediation of issues arising in a data management storage system are provided. Deployed assets of a storage solution vendor may deliver telemetry data to the vendor on a regular basis. The received telemetry data may be processed by an AIOps platform to perform predictive analytics and arrive at “community wisdom” from the vendor's installed user base. In one embodiment, an insight-based approach is used to facilitate risk detection and remediation including proactively addressing issues before they turn into more serious problems. For example, based on continuous learning based on the community wisdom and making one or both of a rule set and a remediation set derived therefrom available for use by cognitive computing co-located with a customer's storage system, a risk to which the storage system is exposed may be determined and a corresponding remediation may be deployed to address or mitigate the risk.

  • Publication number: 20240026860
Abstract: A friction limiting turbine gyroscope is a compact and efficient means to convert the energy of a moving fluid into electrical energy. The gyroscope's flywheel rotates when a fluid passes through its spokes while magnets located along the perimeter act upon proximate movable field coils to produce electricity. The spokes of the flywheel are optimized for the flow and density of the fluid with the ability to trans mutate using shaped memory alloys as well as rotate about their center of pressure allowing the flywheel to capture more of the energy from the fluid passing over their surfaces in all conditions. Mechanical energy losses are reduced because of the inherent stabilizing effects created by the gyroscope. Because of the stabilization, a magnetic bearing field effectively supports the gyroscope eliminating mechanical interference in rotation.

  • Publication number: 20240002063
Abstract: Electromagnetic gyroscopic stabilizing propulsion system method and apparatus is an electric gyroscope that creates magnetic fields used to rotate its flywheel. The rotation of its flywheel creates both a gyroscopic effect and thrust with airfoil shaped spokes. The invention attaches to an airframe through an articulating joint that causes the axle of the gyroscope to precess in a vertical orientation regardless of the movements/angle of the airframe. The gyroscope's thrust aligns itself with the axle of the gyroscope. The net effect is that the invention has tremendous efficiency, no external drive because it is also a motor, tremendous power from magnetic leverage of the flywheel, and stability because of the gyroscopic effect.
