  • Publication number: 20110042602
Abstract: The invention relates to a lift valve (1; 1.1; 1.2; 1.3), particularly for process technology,. The aim of the invention is to design a process valve of the type in question which acts as a lift valve, has a uniform (monolithic or multi-piece) closing part or member, is altogether shorter than all previously known, comparable valves, has a very simple design, and can be used for various embodiments such as check valves, tank bottom valves, or reversing valves. Said aim is achieved by the fact that the closing part (4; 4.1) opens towards the actuator (3; 3*) while the ends of the driving spring (7; 7.1, 7.2) directly or indirectly rest against the actuation rod (4a/4b) and a cover part (3b), respectively, said cover part (3b) delimiting the driving housing (3a) on the side of the driving piston (5; 5*) that faces away from the closing part (4; 4.1).

  • Publication number: 20110005611
Abstract: The invention relates to a double seat valve capable of cleaning the seat and having a cleaning device for a housing penetration critical for cleaning, having the features in the preamble of claim 1. According to the invention, a double seat valve of generic type ensures cleaning of the housing penetration of the pipe shaft or the pipe shaft expanded into a pressure compensation piston of the independently driven first closing element, starting from the valve housing part to an axial extension length of at least the entire opening stroke of the double seat valve, and the related relevant prior art is thus improved. This is achieved according to the invention in that, when a first closing element (3) is moved downward by the first partial stroke (T1), a freely penetrable ring gap (S21) is formed between an outer surface (K) of the pipe shaft (3b/3c) and a first rod seal (21) disposed in the first valve housing part (1a).

  • Patent number: 7845368
Abstract: A double seat valve in which a second closing element (4), in its closed position, rests with a stopping surface (4f) on a face of its cylindrical projection (4*) directly upon a first seat (2a) and, together with a peripheral wall (4c, 4h), forms a second wraparound edge (U2) upon an interface (2e, 2e*). The peripheral wall (4c), at its end facing away from a first closing element (3), merges into a rotationally symmetric reversing surface (4d) that leads to a face (4e) of a recess (4b) oriented essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the second closing element (4). In meridian section, the reversing surface (4b) has a contour (K) with a bend-free curve, a direction vector in the leading point of the reversing surface (4d) points into a discharge borehole (3d, 3d*) central in the first closing element (3) without colliding with the first closing element (3) in the vicinity of its areas bordering the leakage cavity (5) and forming dynamic pressure.

  • Publication number: 20100243073
Abstract: A double-seat valve having a seat-cleaning function, wherein the double-seat valve opens downward, and the two closing elements can be moved independently of each other by a partial lift in each case gap-wide into a seat cleaning position for the purpose of cleaning their seat such that the dependently driven second closing element is pushed into its respective seat cleaning position by a second partial lift in the same direction of the opening movement, and the independently driven first closing element is pushed into its respective seat cleaning position by a first partial lift in the direction counter to the opening lift.

  • Patent number: 7198058
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for actuating double seat valves, which are especially suitable for the food and beverage industry and which have an independently actuated first closing element (3) and a second closing element (4) actuated dependently on it, whereby the actuation (100, 200) always shows via a main adjustment device (100) for the full open position (H) as well as, for the case of maximum requirements, the respective individual adjustment devices (200; 200.1, 200.2) which are assigned to the closing elements (3, 4) for generation of the partially open positions (T1, T2) for the seat cleaning of the closing elements (3, 4). The object of the invention is to design a device according to this generic type, that is constructed as simply as possible and that the first partially open position (T1) of the independently actuated closing element (3) is adjustable from the outside of the device.

  • Patent number: 6179003
Abstract: The invention refers to an actuating device for a double seat valve with cleanable seat, provided with two individually moveable closure members, which can be brought, additional to the open position, independent from each other, to a partial open position, wherein it shall be secured that the partial stroke movement to be carried out during the seat cleansing of the dependently actuated closure member is possible with relatively low pressures of the pressure medium, without the necessity to take pressure compensation measures at the respective closure member or for the increase of the diameter of the actuating piston. Furthermore it shall be possible, if required, to effect also the opening movement of the double seat valve with the conditions named above.

  • Patent number: 6178986
Abstract: The invention relates to a double seat valve with cleanable seats comprising two closure members which are placed in series and which can be moved in relation to one another, in accordance with the generic part of claim 1. The aim of said double seat valve is to provide a double seal with a tight leakage cavity in relation to the valve housing part which is closed off by the second closure ember when the seat of the first closure member is being cleaned, said first closure member being ventilated across the width of the gap, along its seat surface, in accordance with the sealing concept of a double seat valve. To this end, the end section of the sliding piston (4) has two axially arranged radial sealing agents (6 and 7) in relation to its longitudinal axis. Outlets (4b) are provided in said sliding piston (4) between said sealing agents. Said outlets connect the area surrounding the sliding piston (4) to the leakage cavity (11) on the outer covering side.
