Abstract: A system and method for securely exchanging health data of a patient in a medical system is disclosed. The medical system is accessible by one or more users including at least the patient. The system and method includes at least one authentication step, at least one authorization step, at least one association step, at least one health data receiving step, and at least one health data access step. The system and method can allow a patient to securely receive health data on a mobile device.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system to carry out the method comprising the steps: analyzing biological samples of a patient to obtain measurement values and according to a test order; a laboratory middleware receiving the measurement values; providing a virtual analyzer comprising a workflow engine and an algorithm calculator distinct from the laboratory middleware; the workflow engine receiving input data comprising the measurement values and second input data comprising patient data from the laboratory middleware; the algorithm calculator processing the input data and using the clinical algorithm as instructed by the workflow engine and transmitting interpretation support data to the workflow engine; and the laboratory middleware augmenting the measurement values and with the interpretation support data received from the virtual analyzer.
