  • Patent number: 11930984
Abstract: A dishwashing appliance may include a cabinet, a tub, a door, a spring linkage, and a bent linkage latch. The cabinet may extend laterally between a pair of opposing lateral sides. The door may be rotatably positioned at a front opening and providing selective access to a wash chamber of the cabinet. The spring linkage may bias the door toward a closed position. The spring linkage may extend from a first end to a second end. The first end may be mounted to the cabinet. The second end may include a fastener selectively attached to the door. The bent linkage latch may extend laterally from the cabinet at one of the pair of opposing lateral sides below the door along a vertical direction. The bent linkage latch defining a vertically open latch channel to selectively receive the spring linkage when the fastener is detached from the door.

  • Publication number: 20230021815
Abstract: A dishwashing appliance includes a tub that defines a wash chamber therein. A door is rotatably coupled to the tub by a hinge. The hinge includes a first bracket mounted on the door, a second bracket mounted to the tub, and a hinge pin extending between the first bracket and the second bracket. The second bracket includes an outer channel configured to receive the hinge pin during installation and removal of the door, a round socket configured to retain the hinge pin during rotation of the door between the open position and the closed position, and a transition channel adjoining the outer channel and the round socket. The outer channel defines a first width and the transition channel defines a second width. The first width is generally constant over the entire outer channel and the second width is generally constant over the entire transition channel.

  • Publication number: 20220015602
Abstract: A dishwasher or dishwasher door, as provided herein, may include an inner panel and a dispenser assembly. The inner panel may define a stamped hole extending along an aperture axis. The dispenser assembly may be mounted to the inner panel. The dispenser assembly may include a retaining cup, a radial lip, a flat compression gasket, and a discrete bracket. The retaining cup may have an interior surface defining an additive compartment and an exterior surface defining a relief outside of the additive compartment. The retaining cup may be positioned through the stamped hole. The radial lip may be joined to the retaining cup forward from the stamped hole. The flat compression gasket may be disposed about the retaining cup against a front surface of the inner panel. The discrete bracket may be held between a back surface of the inner panel and the relief of the retaining cup.

  • Patent number: 10575707
Abstract: A dishwasher appliance and user interface are generally provided herein. The user interface may be provided on the dishwasher appliance and include a control panel, a button body, a board housing, and a control board. The button body may be slidably mounted to the control panel. The board housing may be disposed behind the control panel along a transverse direction. The board housing may include a planar frame and a resilient cantilever. The planar frame may define a switch aperture in transverse alignment with the button body. The resilient cantilever may extend from the planar frame in forward biased engagement with the button body. The control board may be fixed to the board housing and include a contact switch positioned in transverse alignment with the switch aperture to selectively engage the button body.
