Patent number: 12067100Abstract: A dual wearable smart device system and a method of using the dual wearable smart device system for authenticating an electronic financial transaction are described. In one embodiment, a method for approving an electronic financial transaction using at least two wearable smart devices includes providing a first wearable smart device that is designated as a payment device for conducting electronic financial transactions. The method also includes providing a second wearable smart device that is designated as a confirmation device for confirming the electronic financial transactions by the first wearable smart device. The method includes initiating, by the first wearable smart device, an electronic financial transaction, and, approving, by the second wearable smart device, the electronic financial transaction initiated by the first wearable smart device. The method further includes authenticating the first wearable smart device to complete the electronic financial transaction.Type: GrantFiled: August 7, 2023Date of Patent: August 20, 2024Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Kelly Q. Baker, William Preston Culbertson, II, Will Kerns Maney, Jr., Gregory David Hansen, Jerry John Maestas, Oscar Guerra, Gregory Brian Meyer, Ana Maldonado, Michelle Susan Croak, Andre Rene Buentello, Stacy Callaway Huggar, Jose L. Patent number: 11860988Abstract: A method and system for a one-time authentication interaction to conduct electronic financial transactions using a wearable smart ring device is described. In one embodiment, a method includes detecting, by a mobile device, that a wearable smart ring device is being worn by a user. The method also includes receiving, by the mobile device, authentication information associated with the user, and comparing the received authentication information with stored authentication information associated with the user. Upon determining that the received authentication information matches the stored authentication information, the wearable smart ring device is authorized to conduct electronic financial transactions. Additionally, the wearable smart ring device remains authorized to conduct electronic financial transactions as long as it is worn by the user. Once removed from the user's finger, the wearable smart ring device is de-authorized.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2020Date of Patent: January 2, 2024Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Kelly Q. Patent number: 11709253Abstract: A method of automatically detecting damage following a loss causing incident is disclosed. The method includes capturing image information about a group of physical objects in their initial states and comparing these with image information about the group of physical objects in their modified states following a loss causing incident. The method includes detecting discrepancies between the initial and modified states and automatically assesses the degree of damage and/or loss.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2021Date of Patent: July 25, 2023Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventor: Jerry John Maestas

Patent number: 11321524Abstract: An electronic device may include a processor that may receive baseline image data that represents desired content to be displayed on a webpage. The processor may also receive online image data that may be accessible via a network. The online image data may include code that causes the processor to display a representation of the webpage on an electronic display. The processor may then identify one or more differences between the baseline image data and the online image data and generate one or more modifications to the code based on the differences.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 2020Date of Patent: May 3, 2022Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Gregory David Hansen, Jerry John Maestas
