The inflatable airbag is formed of flexible material and provided in a rolled and/or folded package. The cover extends around at least part of the package. The cover includes a first cover portion and a second cover portion. The first cover portion is located on a first side of the package, and at least a region of the second cover portion being located on an opposite second side of the package. The second cover portion is substantially flexible and is connected to or formed integrally with the first cover portion, and the first cover portion has a predetermined stable shape and is relatively rigid in comparison to the second cover portion.
