  • Patent number: 11850846
Abstract: A method for reducing instability of a nozzle meniscus of a droplet deposition apparatus. The method includes the steps of receiving first and second data blocks for respective first and second line pixels, receiving a data set of forbidden pixel periods, determining a first jitter delay value based on the forbidden pixel periods, generating first and second print data based on the first and second data blocks, the first print data defining a first holding period and one or more drive pulses and the second print data defining one or more drive pulses; wherein the first and second print data generate first and second actuating element signals that cause an actuating element to eject at least one droplet from a nozzle, wherein the first jitter delay value adjusts a first pixel period, defined by the drive pulses, to fall outside of the forbidden pixel periods to reduce nozzle meniscus instability.

  • Patent number: 9967919
Abstract: Electrical resistor heating with an electrical resistor heating circuitry which includes an AC power source of at least one phase, a plurality of heating resistors provided in a spatial arrangement, and switches to connect the AC power source with the heating resistors generating ON and OFF power states. Power scheduling is provided to adjust the power fed from the AC power source to the heating resistors at a desired partial-power level by ON/OFF switching a number of switches, wherein the power scheduling causes at least some of the switches to switch between the ON and OFF states in a staggered manner so that energization of the partial-power level of different resistors takes place, at least partially, non-simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 9227436
Abstract: A primer, a method, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium are described. An example non-transitory computer-readable storage medium stores instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to instruct a printer to advance a media by a first distance. The instructions, when executed, also cause the processor to instruct the printer to advance the media by a second distance different than the first distance to align the media with a cutter assembly. The instructions, when executed, also cause the processor to adapt an interleave mask based on the second distance. The instructions, when executed, also cause the processor to instruct the cutter assembly to separate a first portion of the media from a second portion of the media while the printer is printing on the media.
