The equipment device (e.g., set-to box, TV or the like) stores in a memory a plurality of settings profiles, wherein each settings profile is a structured data set related to a wearable computing device including at least a device identifier associated with the related wearable computing device and one or more device settings. The equipment device detects a wearable computing device, wherein detecting the wearable computing device includes identifying a specific device identifier associated with the detected wearable computing device. A querying module of the equipment device executes a query on the memory to identify a specific settings profile where the included device identifier corresponds to the specific device identifier. The equipment device adjusts the device settings based on the one or more device settings included in the identified specific settings profile.

Control circuitry comprising a servo control system having a torque rejection curve (TRC) configured to control the actuator is configured to measure a position error signal (PES) of the head, and measure the VS output by the vibration sensor. A feed-forward compensator is configured based on PES/VS/TRC. While seeking the head across the disk surface, the VS is processed using the feed-forward compensator to generate a feed-forward compensation during a settle interval of the seek, and the actuator is controlled using the feed-forward compensation during the settle interval.

The mobile device does not store the private user data in volatile or non-volatile storage before receiving the private user data from the wearable device. The mobile device stores the private user data received from the wearable device only in volatile storage. In response to user input, the mobile device modifies the private user data in the volatile storage. The mobile device synchronizes the private user data on the mobile device with the wearable device by sending the modified private user data or a portion thereof to the wearable device. In response to generation of a deletion command, the mobile device releases the modified private user data.
