  • Patent number: 5836047
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner has a cleaner body section having a first recess, and a second recess. The vacuum cleaner further has a first connector section, a second connector section, a suction pipe section and a brush section. First and second arc-shaped slots are provided in order for first and second protrusions of the first connector section to be slidably inserted in the slots and to be placed on the first recess. The second connector section is fixedly inserted in the second recess. The first connector section is connected to the second connector section. When the vacuum cleaner is used in the upright mode, the brush section is detachably connected to the first connector section and the suction pipe section is detachably connected to the second connector section, to thereby provide an air passageway from the brush section, the first connector section, the second connector section, and the suction pipe section, up to the cleaner body section.

  • Patent number: 5797661
Abstract: Disclosed is a wheel of a vacuum cleaner which can be easily assembled and disassembled. The wheel has a hollow cylindrical hub incorporated with a cleaner body, a roller supporting the cleaner body while rolling on a floor, a support member, and a cap. The support member and the cap are fixed by a plurality of key protuberances and snap protuberances formed on the cap. The roller is rotatably supported by the support member while being in sliding contact with a plurality of ridges formed on a cylindrical outer surface of a support ring of the support member. The wheel enables a vacuum cleaner to be minimized in size.

  • Patent number: 5596236
Abstract: A motor comprises an armature, first and second commutators disposed at either side of the armature, first and second amateur coils wound on the armature through commutator pieces in a double winding back alpha type, and first and second stator coil groups respectively connected through brushes to first and second commutators. A first circuit formed of the first stator coil group, the first commutator, and the first armature coil is connected to a second circuit formed of the second armature coil, the second commutator, and the second stator coil group, in series or in parallel corresponding to a high voltage or a low voltage applied to the motor, thereby the motor shows the same output power without relation to the voltage applied thereto.
