  • Patent number: 11572573
Abstract: A method for maintaining a male sterile plant in a homozygous recessive state includes providing a first plant that includes homozygous recessive male sterility alleles, providing a second plant that includes homozygous recessive male sterility alleles the same as that in the first plant and a nucleotide construct in which the construct exists in a heterozygous state. The first nucleotide sequence of the nucleotide construct encodes a first protein that restores male fertility of the first plant after expression in the first plant. The second nucleotide sequence of the nucleotide construct allows for distinguishing the grains with or without the construct by observation through naked eyes or devices. The first nucleotide sequence and the second nucleotide sequence are tightly connected with each other and coexist in a plant. The method further includes fertilizing female gametes of the first plant with male gametes of the second plant.

  • Publication number: 20220333125
Abstract: A gene ZmPLD3 for inducing maize maternal haploid production and its application thereof. Transgenic homozygous mutant plants or their progeny can be obtained by knocking out the ZmPLD3 gene in maize, and maize maternal haploids can be produced by hybridizing them as paternal materials with other maize materials. A series of allelic mutations of the gene having maternal haploid induction function through hybridization were obtained. The experiments showed that the mutation of maize phospholipase PLD3 could lead to the production of maize maternal haploid, which provides new thoughts for revealing the biological role of phospholipase in maize maternal haploid induction process. At the same time, the mutant individuals have the maternal haploid induction ability in maize, which is of great significance for breeding new types of haploid induction lines with high haploid induction rate and improving the efficiency of maize haploid breeding.

  • Patent number: 11262140
Abstract: A heat sink includes a heat sink body having a plurality of stacked fins and a mounting base including a heat dissipation plate. A first surface of the heat dissipation plate is connected to a lower portion of the heat sink body. A protrusion protruding away from the heat sink body is disposed on a portion of a second surface of the heat dissipation plate opposite to the first surface. The protrusion is formed by stamping or bending the heat dissipation plate away from the heat sink body from the first surface of the heat dissipation plate.

  • Publication number: 20210163973
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for expressing a target gene and its special specific DNA molecule. The specific DNA molecule provideds in the present invention has a nucleotide sequence as shown at positions 7 to 589 of SEQ ID No.: 1 from the 5? end in the sequence listing. The experiment proves that the specific DNA molecule provided in the present invention may start the target gene (such as mCrylAb gene, the nucleotide sequence thereof is shown at positions 7 to 1881 from the 5? end of SEQ ID No.: 2 in the sequence listing) in various tissues of rice, maize and Arabidopsis thaliana, and shows that the specific DNA molecule is a constitutive expression promoter. The invention has important application value.

  • Patent number: 6849779
Abstract: The present invention provides novel DNA constructs encoding high methionine zein proteins, the expression of which is not negatively regulated by the dzr1 regulatory protein. The constructs of the invention comprise a ?-zein coding region operably linked to a promoter and a 3? UTR which has been modified so as to be devoid of any binding sites for the dzr1 regulatory protein. Preferably, the entire 3? UTR is replaced by a heterologous sequence that does not contain any dzr1 binding sites. Transgenic corn plants comprising the DNA constructs of the invention are also provided. These plants consistently produce high methionine corn seeds.
