  • Patent number: 11941553
Abstract: The embodiment of the present disclosure discloses a method, an electronic device, and a storage medium for a ship route optimization. The method for the ship route optimization considers a dynamic feature of a multi-functional emergency rescue ship and an interference effect caused by an airflow, uses a movement model with kinematics non-holonomic constraints, such as a ship total cost assessment function to simulate the movement of the ship, and based on a sparrow search algorithm, learns how to apply the algorithm to a route plan of the emergency rescue ship. The method can improve the ship route optimization algorithm, improve an accuracy and practical applicability of a calculated plan. The method can effectively and accurately locate obstacles and hidden reefs, and consider effects of an airflow and a non-holonomic constraint effect, so as to make the route planning of the ship more efficient and intelligent.

  • Patent number: 11048926
Abstract: A method for recognizing hand gestures when the hand is held in front of the user's upper body. The method detects dominant features associated with the upper body, including features on the face (eyes and mouth etc.) and the shoulder extremes. Geometrical relations among these features are used to judge whether the face/head has turned to the side relative to the shoulder. If not, a face-shoulder coordinate system is established using these face-shoulder features, and the hand images are transformed into this new coordinate system. This in effect defines hand gestures relative to the user's face and shoulder, thus significantly reducing the dimensions of the feature space for hand gestures. This face-shoulder coordinate transform can be combined either with traditional appearance-based hand gesture recognition methods, or with a conventional or hybrid deep neural network for RGB or RGB-D images.

  • Publication number: 20190185910
Abstract: Methods for detecting presence or absence of at least two known gene fusions in isolated genomic DNA comprise subjecting isolated genomic DNA to multiplex PCR. For each known gene fusion, the multiplex PCR employs one or a plurality of forward primers which hybridize to a first gene adjacent its fusion breakpoint location, and one or a plurality of reverse primers which hybridize to a second gene adjacent its fusion breakpoint location. The primers hybridize to the respective gene at consecutive respective positions separated from one another by a plurality of base pairs. Amplified products are detected and respectively represent the presence of a gene fusion. Amplified products may be Sanger sequenced to determine the fusion breakpoints. The identified specific fusion is monitored by a designed fusion PCR. Drug-resistant mutations are detected using multiplex mutation real-time PCR in patient plasma cell-free DNA during targeted therapy, for example, tyrosine kinase inhibitor-targeted therapy.

  • Patent number: 9292607
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for updating a search index with new uniform resource locators (URLs) and with metadata for new and known URLs. Data associated with communications made by users using a social network is received. The communications include a URL therein that a user has shared, posted, or otherwise communicated to one or more other users using the social network. When the URL is not found in a search index it is identified as a new URL and is added to the search index. A measure of a trending interest, or virality, of the URL is determined from the data. The determined virality is associated with the URL in a search index as metadata. The virality is useable to inform a ranking of the URL against a plurality of other URLs for identification and presentation as a search result in a search engine results page.

  • Publication number: 20150286723
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media are provided for identifying dominant entity categories associated with target entities. A target entity is received and plural data sources are utilized to determine entity categories of which the target entity is a member and an initial confidence score for each of the entity categories. Each initial confidence score represents the likelihood that the associated entity category is a dominant category for the target entity. At least one data source includes information pertaining to plural entities arranged in a graph-based ontology that includes identifiers of respective entity categories of which the subject entities are members. Graph-based confidence score propagation is then utilized to incorporate information regarding entities determined to be related to the target entity and accolades associated with the target entity to alter the initial confidence scores provided for various entity categories of which the target entity is a member.

  • Patent number: 9116990
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-storage media for improving the freshness, or the apparent freshness, of search results are described. In an embodiment, the first portion of search results presented on a search results page are based on responsiveness to the search query and a second portion of results describe only recently published documents that are responsive to the search query. In an embodiment, a more recent version of the document, which is not directly used to determine responsiveness, is used to build the caption for a search result. Another way to make search results appear fresh is to include a publication time within the search result caption. In one embodiment, the publication time is generated by calculating a point in time between when a document is first added to a search index and the previous time the search engine visited the site where the document was found.
