  • Publication number: 20180060181
Abstract: Techniques are provided for creating a backup of a source pluggable database (SPD) of a source container database and porting the backup for recovery into a different target container database. In an embodiment, a source database server retrieves metadata that describes backups of the SPD. The source database server inserts, into a unplugged pluggable database of the SPD, the metadata that describes each of the backups. For example, unplugging the SPD may automatically create the unplugged pluggable database. Eventually, the unplugged pluggable database may be plugged into the target container database. A target database server transfers the metadata that describes each of the backups from the unplugged pluggable database and into the target container database. Based on at least one backup and the metadata that describes backups of the SPD, the target database server restores a target pluggable database within the target container database.

Abstract: In one example, a method for generating air traffic alerts includes determining a predicted trajectory for a target air-craft, based at least in part on a comparison of information received on a recent trajectory of the target aircraft with a set of procedural trajectory information. The method further includes determining whether a violation of protected airspace is predicted between the target aircraft and an ownship, based at least in part on the predicted trajectory for the target aircraft and a predicted trajectory for the ownship. The method further includes generating an alert output in response to determining that the violation of protected airspace is predicted.

  • Publication number: 20170116252
Abstract: Techniques related to query execution against an in-memory standby database are disclosed. A first database includes PF data stored on persistent storage in a persistent format. The first database is accessible to a first database server that converts the PF data to a mirror format to produce MF data that is stored within volatile memory. The first database server receives, from a second database server, one or more change records indicating one or more transactions performed against a second database. The one or more change records are applied to the PF data, and a reference timestamp is advanced from a first to a second timestamp. The first database server invalidates any MF data that is changed by a subset of the one or more transactions that committed between the first and second timestamps.
