  • Publication number: 20240089124
Abstract: Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for mutual authentication of quantum entities based on Measurement-Device-Independent Quantum Key Distribution (MDI-QKD). The method may include configuring a quantum input form based on an authentication key shared in advance with a counterpart entity, applying polarization modulation to the configured quantum input form, transmitting the quantum input form to which polarization modulation is applied to a quantum measurement device, and authenticating the counterpart entity by checking whether the counterpart entity configures a quantum input form according to the shared authentication key using a measurement result and information about polarization modulation.

  • Patent number: 10958428
Abstract: A device and method for quantum key distribution (QKD). The QKD center includes an authentication key sharing unit for sharing authentication keys with QKD client devices; a quantum key generation unit for generating a sifted key for each of the QKD client devices using a quantum state; an error correction unit for generating output bit strings by correcting errors of the sifted keys; and a bit string operation unit for calculating an encryption bit string by performing a cryptographic operation on the authentication keys, the distribution output bit strings and output bit strings received from the QKD client devices. The present invention improves security by preventing the QKD center from being aware of keys shared among users.

  • Patent number: 9559794
Abstract: A signal detection apparatus includes a signal reception unit, an Analog to Digital (A/D) signal processing unit, and a user interface unit. The signal reception unit receives an external signal. The A/D signal processing unit determines whether the received signal is an abnormal signal based on a plurality of signal profiles having different signal characteristics, and obtains the abnormal signal if, as a result of the determination, it is determined that the received signal is the abnormal signal. The user interface unit displays the abnormal signal.

  • Patent number: 9322898
Abstract: An apparatus and method for estimating the direction of an RF signal is provided. The apparatus includes an antenna for receiving an RF signal. An electronic compass is configured to, as a pointing direction of the antenna is varied, generate information about pointing directions and pointing angles corresponding to variations in the pointing direction of the antenna. A control unit determines RSSI values at respective pointing angles of the antenna based on a received signal of the antenna and information of the electronic compass depending on the variations, extracts a maximum RSSI value from the RSSI values at respective pointing angles, and stores the maximum RSSI value and a pointing direction corresponding to the maximum RSSI value. A display unit displays the RSSI values at the respective pointing angles and a trajectory of the RSSI values at respective pointing angles under control of the control unit.

  • Patent number: 9264174
Abstract: A wideband intelligent jamming control apparatus and method is provided, which efficiently control an unauthorized threat signal. The wideband intelligent jamming control apparatus includes a signal detection terminal for detecting and analyzing wideband frequency signals in real time, and transmitting a jamming command and jamming signal specification information if a corresponding wideband frequency signal is determined to be an unauthorized threat signal. A jamming terminal receives the jamming command and the jamming signal specification information, and generates and emits a jamming signal based on the jamming command and the jamming signal specification information. The signal detection terminal and the jamming terminal may be configured to be physically separated from each other and may be controlled on a network.
