  • Patent number: 11636591
Abstract: A plurality of light sources placed at one end of a surface imaging system may generate and direct light rays to be incident onto a surface to be detected at high incident angles that are greater than or equal to a predetermined angle threshold, the predetermined angle threshold may be set to ensure that images of the surface to be detected that have at least a predetermined degree of contrast are to be obtained. An image sensor that is placed at another end of the surface imaging system may collect light rays reflected from the surface to be detected to form a first image of the surface to be detected.

  • Publication number: 20090154464
Abstract: A system for simulating NAT (network address translation) performed in an internet protocol (IP) sharing device to be selectively operated in one of different network address translation (NAT) schemes includes a first network interface linking the IP sharing device with an internal network and a second network interface linking the IP sharing device with an external network. A Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS) interface hooks packets incoming to the external network or outgoing from the internal network. A NAT unit has a mapping table and performs a network address translation of the hooked packets with reference to the mapping table, wherein the mapping table identifies IP addresses and port numbers of the packets to be translated by the NAT unit.

  • Publication number: 20080288380
Abstract: A system and method for providing streaming game software for a portable terminal are provided. The system includes a software producer, a service provider, a portable terminal, and a billing device. The software producer produces streaming software, and the service provider provides the software in a streaming mode. The portable terminal creates virtual computing resources by virtualizing and amplifying real computing resources for executing software and executes streaming software provided from the service provider based on the amplified virtual computing resource. The billing devices collects billing information, and calculates a cost according to a billing policy set based on the collected billing information.

  • Publication number: 20070117631
Abstract: An intelligent distributed server system and a method of operating the same are provided. Since processing areas of a game server can be changed in real time during a game service, slow response time or service failure due to load unbalancing between game servers can be removed and thus stability is improved. Since game components are divided into several servers, there are difficulties in developing the game. Thus, new distributed processing technique is developed and applied. Simple configuration, server performance improvement, and service stability of relatively difficult distributed game server can be achieved, and also one-step advanced game plan can be realized by applying distributed processing technique to form a seamless and massive game space.
