  • Patent number: 9713880
Abstract: A chainsaw includes a body housing, an elongated guide bar projecting forward from the body housing, a saw-chain mounted on the periphery of the guide bar for rotation, an electric motor mounted within the body housing for rotating, and a top handle provided on an upper portion of the body housing above the guide bar and extending in a fore-and-aft direction. A plurality of rechargeable battery packs is mounted on the body housing as a source of power supply for the electric motor. The battery packs are mounted to the body housing in such a manner that a center of gravity of the chainsaw observed from the back side is positioned in a two times extent of lateral width of a gripe portion of the top handle at both sides of a vertical centerline of the gripe portion.

  • Patent number: 8215528
Abstract: A drive tool includes an ejector, a press member, a press detection switch, an operation member, an operation detection switch, a control unit, an operation state detector, and a report unit. The control unit makes the ejector carry out ejection of a fastening tool when the press detection switch and the operation detection switch are turned on. The operation state detector detects a case where the drive tool comes into one of a plurality of kinds of preset operation states which include at least one operation state other than a state of a battery. Report patterns different for each of the plurality of kinds of operation states are set in the report unit. When one of the operation states is detected by the operation state detector, the report unit reports the detection using the report pattern set corresponding to the detected operation state.

  • Patent number: 7461766
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a combustion power tool having a rational construction. A representative combustion power tool according to the invention may include a combustion chamber, a fuel supplier to supply fuel into the combustion chamber, an igniter disposed in the combustion chamber, a driving mechanism actuated to perform a predetermined operation by utilizing a combustion pressure generated when the fuel is burned in the combustion chamber and an actuator that operates the fuel supplier and the igniter in one operation. Based on the operation of the actuator, fuel is supplied into the combustion chamber via the fuel supplier and the igniter performs ignition in relation to the pressure of the fuel supplied into the combustion chamber changes. According to the invention, because the fuel supplying and ignition can be done by the actuator in one operation, ignition can be performed in constant timing after fuel is supplied via the fuel supplying means.

  • Patent number: 6199739
Abstract: A nail gun includes a contact arm that is movable relative to a nail gun body between an upper first stroke end position and a lower second stroke end position. The contact arm may prevent the nails from being driven when it is in the first stroke end position. A nail driving prevention device includes an engaging member that is movable to enter the moving path of the contact arm so as to prevent the contact arm from moving from the first stroke end position toward the second stroke end position when the number of the nails in a nail magazine has been reduced to a predetermined number. A deviating device is operable to change the moving course of the engaging member away from the moving path of the contact arm when the contact arm is positioned above the first stroke end position.

  • Patent number: 5720423
Abstract: A fastener driving tool includes a cylinder and a drive piston reciprocally movable within the cylinder. A driver is connected to the drive piston and is operable to drive fasteners when the drive piston is moved in a driving direction. The drive piston defines a gas chamber in the cylinder for accommodating a gas. A drive mechanism is provided for moving the drive piston from a first position to a second position in a direction opposite to the driving direction for compressing the gas within the gas chamber. The drive mechanism is operable to permit movement of the drive piston in the driving direction by the pressure of the gas compressed within the gas chamber when the drive piston reaches the second position.
