  • Patent number: 7503915
Abstract: A device for the treatment of a medical fluid including a permanently installed fluid treatment machine and a cassette with fluid-carrying channels as well as an elastic matt placed between these two items. The matt channels are recessed in the elastic matt and are provided with slits. Via the matt channels, an optimised vacuum distribution takes place and the slits serve the purpose of removing air between the cassette and the fluid treatment machine.

  • Publication number: 20090022630
Abstract: An analysis system is provided which comprises an integrated analysis device and a test strip magazine, for determining an analyte in a body fluid, wherein the analysis system comprises a first group comprising reusable components and a second group of components comprising a plurality of disposable articles. The second group includes non-electronic and electronic components, with critical interfaces configured between two or more such components, wherein non-electronic components can be disconnected from electronic components at a disconnection point. In one embodiment, critical interfaces are produced and tested during production of the analysis system.

  • Publication number: 20080242962
Abstract: The analyte concentration, such as glucose, in a human or animal body is measured with an implantable sensor that generates measurement signals. The measurement signals are compressed through statistical techniques to produced compressed measurement data that can is easier to process and communicate. A base station carries the implantable sensor along with a signal processor, memory, and a transmitter. A display device is also disclosed that can receive the compressed measurement data from the base station for further processing and display.

  • Publication number: 20070219572
Abstract: The present invention provides an integrated measuring device that includes a blood collection system for collecting blood for diagnostic purposes. The blood collection system comprises an electric motor which provides energy for propelling a lancet. The blood collection system comprises a mechanical energy store in which the electric energy that is converted by the motor is stored in the form of mechanical energy. The use of a mechanical energy store allows the use of known mechanical drive elements. The blood collection system can also be electrically activated and is thus easy to use for the operator. The motor can also be coupled to another system component, such as a test strip or lancet drum, to operate it.
