  • Patent number: 10652210
Abstract: A method is provided in one example embodiment that includes receiving metadata from a host over a metadata channel. The metadata may be correlated with a network flow and a network policy may be applied to the connection. In other embodiments, a network flow may be received from a host without metadata associated with the flow, and a discovery redirect may be sent to the host. Metadata may then be received and correlated with the flow to identify a network policy action to apply to the flow.

  • Publication number: 20200142943
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for electronically providing each of a plurality of content distributors with access to a library of content items, facilitating the selection of a combination of the content items, creating a unique set of links for each recipient-distributor combination, and distributing the selected content and unique links via one or more distribution channels to a plurality of recipients. As each link is associated with both a recipient and a distributor, conversion actions stemming from the selection of a link by a recipient are attributed to the proper distributor. Distributors can create content distribution approaches that can be shared with other distributors.

  • Publication number: 20200142600
Abstract: Operating a data storage system comprising a plurality of disk drives and a storage controller connected to the disk drives. A first subset and a second subset of the plurality of disk drives are operated as short stroked disk drives and non-short stroked disk drives, respectively. Priority storage spaces are defined including a high priority storage space, a medium priority storage space, and a low priority storage space. Data is received including associated access rates for each portion of the data. One of the priority storage spaces is identified to store a portion of the data, based on the access rates for each portion of the data. Data accessed most frequently is stored in the high priority storage space, data accessed least frequently is stored in the low priority storage space, and the remaining data is stored in the medium priority storage space.

  • Patent number: 10643247
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for personalizing a campaign to a recipient based on interactive surveys. A link to the interactive survey, unique to each recipient, is sent to each recipient to track survey responses. The systems and methods may track the answers, the time spent in each section, and the recipient's eye movement. Based on the tracked information, the systems and methods identify one or more interests of the recipient and match a related product to that interest. The systems and methods generate a campaign for the recipient based on the identified interests for the related product.

  • Publication number: 20200117953
Abstract: Systems and methods for training machine models with augmented data. An example method includes identifying a set of images captured by a set of cameras while affixed to one or more image collection systems. For each image in the set of images, a training output for the image is identified. For one or more images in the set of images, an augmented image for a set of augmented images is generated. Generating an augmented image includes modifying the image with an image manipulation function that maintains camera properties of the image. The augmented training image is associated with the training output of the image. A set of parameters of the predictive computer model are trained to predict the training output based on an image training set including the images and the set of augmented images.

  • Publication number: 20200116568
Abstract: The invention provides methods and apparatus comprising a multi-wavelength laser source that uses a single unfocused pulse of a low intensity but high power laser over a large sample area to collect Raman scattered collimated light, which is then Rayleigh filtered and focused using a singlet lens into a stacked fiber bundle connected to a customized spectrograph, which separates the individual spectra from the scattered wavelengths using a hybrid diffraction grating for collection onto spectra-specific sections of an array photodetector to measure spectral intensity and thereby identify one or more compounds in the sample.

  • Patent number: 10604789
Abstract: System, including methods, apparatus, and compositions, for performing amplification assays with an amplification reporter including a first oligomer and a second oligomer capable of base-pairing with one another below a melting temperature of the reporter. The reporter may have a detectable photoluminescence that is affected, such as reduced, by base-pairing of the first and second oligomers with one another. A target, such as a nucleic acid target sequence, may be amplified in at least one volume, such as a plurality of partitions, above the melting temperature, and photoluminescence of the reporter may be detected from the at least one volume below the melting temperature. A property of the target, such as a concentration of the target, may be determined based on the photoluminescence detected.

  • Patent number: 10601450
Abstract: Techniques are described to address run-time issues and other considerations of data structure reorganization operations executed while decoding a polar code. A receiving entity (e.g., a user equipment or a base station) partitions an array, or other data structure, into sections. The array is used during a list decoding operation of a polar code. As the array is populated with path elements for candidate paths, each section is organized and a permutation pattern is calculated for each section. Upon identifying a section reorganization event, the array or subsections of the array are reorganized according the permutation patterns determined for each section.

  • Publication number: 20200077857
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a blowervac device having a grill that requires to distinct steps in securing the grill over a fan to activate a safety switch allowing power to the motor. The grill has an outer ring and a rotatable inner cover. The first step is simply to secure the grill over the fan. The second step requires the cover to be rotated, which activates an actuator for the safety switch, allowing power to be delivered to the motor and operation of the device. This two-step process reduces the likelihood if inadvertent operation of the device and reduces the chances of injury.
