  • Publication number: 20210263624
Abstract: Disclosed is an improved systems and method for navigation and manipulation of browser windows in a 3D mixed reality environment. An improved approach is provided to view a user's windows, regardless of the current location for the user relative to one or more previously-opened windows. A method for displaying windows in a computing environment includes receiving an instruction to select multiple open windows. The method also includes retrieving information for the multiple open windows, where the multiple open windows are associated with different physical locations. The method further includes displaying a representation of the multiple open windows in a single user interface. Moreover, the method includes upon receiving a selection of a selected window of the multiple open windows, loading the selected window into a foreground of a field of view for a user.

  • Patent number: 11087563
Abstract: Described are improved systems and methods for navigation and manipulation of interactable objects in a 3D mixed reality environment. Improved systems and methods are provided to implement physical manipulation for creation and placement of interactable objects, such as browser windows and wall hangings. A method includes receiving data indicating a selection of an interactable object contained within a first prism at the start of a user interaction. The method also includes receiving data indicating an end of the user interaction with the interactable object. The method further includes receiving data indicating a physical movement of the user corresponding to removing the interactable object from the first prism between the start and the end of the user interaction. Moreover, the method includes creating a second prism to contain the data associated with the interactable object at the end of the user interaction with the interactable object.

  • Publication number: 20210174596
Abstract: A cross reality (XR) system that renders virtual content generated by executing native mode applications may be configured to render web-based content using components that render content from native applications. The system may include a Prism manager that provides Prisms in which content from executing native applications is rendered. For rendering web based content, a browser, accessing the web based content, may be associated with a Prism and may render content into its associated Prism, creating the same immersive experience for the user as when content is generated by a native application. The user may access the web application from the same program launcher menu as native applications. The system may have tools that enable a user to access these capabilities, including by creating for a web location an installable entity that, when processed by the system, results in an icon for the web content in a program launcher menu.

  • Publication number: 20200382105
Abstract: A digital signal processor is designed to channelize an input signal, and includes a channelizer circuit and a plurality of tuning modules. The channelizer circuit is designed to receive an input signal having a first bandwidth and to channelize the input signal into a first set of channels each having a bandwidth smaller than the first bandwidth as a first output signal and to channelize the input signal into a second set of channels having a bandwidth smaller than the first bandwidth as a second output signal. The plurality of tuning modules are designed to receive one or more channels from the first output signal or the second output signal and to further downsample the one or more channels to a user-defined bandwidth at a user-defined center frequency. Each of the plurality of tuning modules include a plurality of FIR filter blocks and a memory having a plurality of FIR filter coefficients.

  • Publication number: 20200265529
Abstract: A method for detecting abnormal usage of a physical consumable in a physical consumable usage environment (107), wherein the method comprises the steps of: monitoring detected usage data associated with the provision of at least one physical consumable in a physical consumable usage environment (107) using at least one physical consumable provisioning device (101, 103, 105) that is arranged to provide the physical consumable; and detecting abnormal usage of the physical consumable based on the monitoring of the detected usage data.

  • Patent number: 10586840
Abstract: A TFT display screen device includes at least one active zone whose pixels are used for the display of an instrument cluster and the display of one or more warning or alarm), optionally icons inlaid in the instrument cluster. The screen also includes at least one dead zone not visible to the user. At least one dead zone is provided-with at least one light sensor and at least one control pixel which is activated when the single icon or at least one icon with which it is associated, is displayed in the active zone of the screen. The sensor is adapted to detect the activation of said at least one control pixel and to deliver a signal.

Abstract: A maintenance management system is disclosed. The system includes a processing device, a plurality of components in communication with the processing device, each component having a location associated with the component and one or more sensors for capturing usage data associated with the component, and user devices in communication with the processing device. Usage data of components is communicated to the processing device. The processing device determines from the usage data whether any of the components requires maintenance. The location of each respective component requiring maintenance is communicated to at least one of the one or more user devices from the processing device.

  • Publication number: 20190289277
Abstract: Interactive content is obtained, the interactive content including a stereoscopic equirectangular video frame. A UV coordinate screen space is generated. A first location of the UV coordinate screen space is computed. A second location of the UV coordinate screen space is computed. A point of the UV coordinate screen space to procedurally render is selected. Virtual spherical coordinates are computed using the point of the UV coordinate screen space to procedurally render. The virtual spherical coordinates are rotated using a rotation matrix. An equirectangular coordinate value within the video frame is determined using the rotated virtual spherical coordinates. The pixel values of the stereoscopic equirectangular video frame are identified using the equirectangular coordinate value. The pixel values are returned for the UV coordinate screen space, thereby causing a corresponding presentation on a physical screen of an interactive content player device.
