  • Patent number: 11957968
Abstract: A batting training aid includes a base, a vertically-extending brace or leg supported by the base, and a plane attached to an upper end of the brace via a joint. The brace allows for adjustment of the height of the plane, while the joint between the plane and the brace allows the plane to roll, pitch, and/or yaw to mimic optimal swing planes for different pitch locations/angles and batter heights. The training aid can incorporate a batting tee for tee work and/or a resistive medium to approximate contact during dry swings. A guide bar can be provided above the plane to prevent a hitter from swinging down on the ball. Sensors can be incorporated into the training aid to measure one or more swing metrics, such as bat speed; data collected by the sensors can be transmitted to external devices such as smartphones, tablets, personal computers, and the like.

Abstract: An electronic gaming machine may include an illuminable notification mechanism, which may be disposed on a rear surface of the electronic gaming machine in a position or location that makes the notification mechanism visible to a casino operator. The notification mechanism may include a display, such as, for example, a display that includes at least one tri-color light emitting diode (LED). The display of the notification mechanism may be selectively illuminated in a variety of lighting configurations based, for example, upon gameplay activity of a player of the gaming machine. For instance, in some embodiments, the notification mechanism may be selectively illuminated in any of an inactive lighting configuration, an active lighting configuration, or a privileged lighting configuration. In the privileged lighting configuration, the notification mechanism may indicate that a player of the gaming machine is entitled to a complimentary item (e.g., a free or reduced-price item or service).

  • Publication number: 20240112209
Abstract: Systems and methods for model evaluation. A protected class model that satisfies an accuracy threshold is built by using: data sets for use by a modeling system being evaluated, and protected class membership information for each data set. A target for the protected class model is a protected class membership variable indicating membership in a protected class. Each predictor of the protected class model is a predictor of an evaluated model used by the modeling system. A target of the evaluated model is different from the target of the protected class model. Each predictor is a set of one or more variables of the data sets. For each predictor of the protected class model, a protected class model impact ranking value and a modeling system impact ranking value are determined.

  • Patent number: 11949395
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a hardened fractional resampler that includes a fixed filter that supports simultaneous processing of N input samples with minimal additional combinational logic and no additional multipliers. In one embodiment, the fractional resampler is implemented in an integrated circuit using hardened circuit. The embodiments below exploit a pattern in the order filter phases in fractional resampling systems (such as a SSR resampling system) to use filter phases in a single fixed filter to process multiple input samples in parallel, where these filter phases would have been unused in previous resampling systems.
